I talk to Americans on the chair at Whistler 2 days a week and I can attest to the fact that a significant number of them think that Trump is the worst President ever. How so many people can think he is the best ever and so many think the opposite is a mystery to me.

For me this is easy to understand. Theres 2 reasons, and only 2 reasons. 1. Theres people who know politics, and the ones who dont. 2 Temperament. Really thats what it comes down to. Let me elaborate;
If someone doesn't take the time to learn politics, (which is a lot of people, maybe even majority of people) then they're just going to go with whats been heard or told to them. And if we think for a second, everything around us is "liberal" or portray liberal principles. We turn on the TV, everything is liberal. Late night talk show hosts, celebrities, songs artists, news anchors, mainstream news sources I can go on forever. So its easy to understand, people just haven't explored the other side because they really haven't had a chance to or are too lazy too. Now, this isn't the case all the time but most the time it is.
If it isn't that case, I'll bring up the human psyche as Im a psychology major. The second is Termperament.
Temperament and personality dictates voting patterns to a degree that more people will ever realize. If you're high in conscientiousness for example that indicates you're low in openness, agreeableness and creativity which almost 100% of the time you will vote conservative because its your constitution, embedded into your soul if you will like Jungian archetypal philosophy.
The other half of people are high in openness, high in agreeableness and low in conscientiousness which is an indication of a liberal, every time. Which makes complete sense imo.. Whether people want to realize this or not temperament is a direction indication of voting pattern.
Not only that, but liberal states are more populated than republican states BIGLY, ie California, New York and these people voted liberal so the chances you will run into a liberal is more than you would run into a republican, objectively speaking. (Thank God for electoral college because if voting was based on population, democrats win every time because all they would have to do is campaign to 2 states, LOL, as I digress...)
So basically you are in a ski lift 2 days a week with either low IQ cucks from California who don't know anything about politics or cucks who are soyboys because its their biological constitution for lack of better words.
Most women are more agreeable compared to men and would vote liberal as well which directly correlates with voting data from 2016 and 2018, don't know if the ppl you were talking to were women or not but this isnt a trivial statistic either.
