While this heated discussion is going on here, and CNN is investing time on writing long idiotic articles about how his suffering a meatless visit is going to be a disaster, Trump may well come back from India with a new trade deal.
I’m guessing trump won’t dress up like a clown as our fool of a prime minister did when he was there.

I voted Trump. The guy may a "douchebag" according to the Leftists as well as not right in the head.At the same time I agree.Trump is a douchebag and he says incendiary things via his own opinions via twitter thus getting rid of the Socialist media andI dont blame him for doing that.He sure has turned around the economic prospects for the USA in a fucking hurry.Hey if I can admit and say he is a douchebag at least concede that he has done what he promised.

As for the Democrats for the coming election they have Bernie Sanders as the front runner right now.....such a good choice and I hope he gets it.....I truly hope he gets the nomination and then loses and gets tossed into the pile of the "also ran" because even in Canada the side that loses chucks the losing leader to the ditch.

The really sad thing is that ol Bernie will be bleating that crapulence of "Democratic Socialism" on the hustings and most Americans who have lived in the biggest bastion of Capitalism will tell that sand papery voiced curmudeoned old entitled bastard to FUCK OFF to one of the three homes he owns.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Hillary Clinton ends up as the candidate through a brokered convention with Michelle Obama as her possible running mate. The Democrats do not want Bernie Sanders as there candidate, and there is no way Bernie wins on the first ballot.

The chances of that are just plain fuck all.One of the tried and tested rules for both American and Canadian politics is you dont back a loser for another try.The other rule for politics as well as hollywood is dont get caught with a live boy or a dead girl as your career is OVER.

I think that's only because there are too many other ambitious pols who want to push a person out after 1 loss. (Scheer was right when he said Harper didn't win his first election, but then won after that. However, nobody feared to stick knives into Scheer after his loss.)

In any case, if Hillary came back in some brokered convention swindle, the Dems would fall apart as a party. Same if it was Bloomberg. Can you see the Democrat base coming out to vote for some billionaire who used to be a Republican and literally bought the nomination? Nope.

Choosing either of these two candidates would be electoral suicide for the Democrats. Not just a loss against Trump, but maybe game over as a party. The establishment & DNC would be trying to "sell" a candidate that their own members don't want to vote for. Doesn't matter how many independent/undecideds might swing over to them; they would lose twice as many votes from their own side, as turnout crashes. Being "not Trump" is not enough to bring those voters back, and it would be just enough to kill them in several swing states, just like in 2016.

Not everyone will agree with Sanders' policies, of course, but I'd still give him better odds than some other candidate who is safe and dull and shows no chance of actually reforming the system.

interesting how time can change one's perspective due to "bone spurs". Having lived during that time there was little public support for the war...massive anti war demonstrations were the order of the day and eventually pressured Nixon to end it and withdraw.

People did not want their sons going to war to prop up a corrupt South Vietnamese government Domino theory or not. Those who found medical ways to get out of the war or fled across the border to Canada were considered heroes for refusing to serve. We welcomed draft dodgers with open arms. Those who returned from serving in Vietnam were considered and treated like baby killers. The most badly treated and abused war veterans in American history. MacCain was considered a hero because he famously and yes..heroically survived a vicious prison camp but the regular grunt who came back was relegated to the gutter ignored and neglected.

As a general rule it was not considered noble to serve in that war and those who could get out of going to Vietnam did.

As an ex-pat Ameican who served in Vietnam, I cannot argue that for the most part far too many of us got a raw deal and many were ignored and neglected not on the basis of malice but on the basis of ignorance and/or inadequate, medical or psychological support.

Expressions of aggressively-overt hostility toward returning vets were spotty and I can say that at college I was treated with perhaps far more respect than I maybe deserved.

My classmates were if anything cautiously curious as to my tour of duty but they were 100% accepting of me, and generously provided me all the assistance and support I required in acclimatizing myself to a radically different social reality.

I appreciate that not everybody was as fortunate as I.

I also had the benefit of as much paid college education as I wanted and at a school that I could neither dream of affording or gaining admission but for my service.....; and those benefits set me up for life. And most important of course, was the good fortune of returning stateside physically, emotionally, and psychologically intact......

As for the war itself, well....as are most wars I can't say it was noble though it did provide me to bear witness to best and the worst of who we humans are; witnessing extreme cruelty, inspirational compassion, cowardice and courage, hatred and love.....

All that said, I'm not saying that what you have written is totally wrong.....it's just incomplete; and for whatever perverse reason I felt compelled to offer another lbeit personal perspective which.....I have to concede may be no more correct than yours.

And as a postscript, there is a reason I am an ex-pat American; Vietnam, Donald Trump, the Clintons, and all the grifters, hangers-on, pseudo-Christians, Wall Street gangstras, and partisan arsonists make life south of 49 so intolerable to me to think or even imagine of ever returning.

Trump has been patting himself on the back so hard about how well the stock market is doing, it’s a wonder he didn’t break his arm. He’s been strangely silent on the nearly 2000 point fall in the Dow Jones index over the past few days though.

Even never-Trumpers can't be dumb enough to blame a possible worldwide pandemic, and stock markets around the world falling, on Trump.

Or will they...

Or will they...
. Can they bring the U.S economy down by using the word ‘Crisis’ and ‘Pandemic’, over and over and over again, and look at the people who are saying it...the same people who have been trying to get rid of Trump since he got elected. This manufactured crisis has George Soros written all over it...this person is fricken evil.

The downturn in the markets due to "pandemic". Alot of those stocks have manufacturing in China and elsewhere to bring them profit. so when countries put restriction on, goods don't travel...

Regardless whether you support Trump or not,
If you dont know hes going to win again then you dont know anything about whats going on in the world right now lol. At all.

Due to demographics though he will be the last republican president, its a shame since he was the best president America has ever had by a substantial margin.
It is what it is

How many people die from the flu every day that you never even hear about? The biggest proportion of people dying from this virus are in China, by far. How many people have actually died in the U.S. from this, at the same time how many people have died from other diseases? I would guess if this was the pandemic and crisis that these Democrat mouthpieces are saying it is...they should be praising Trump for tightening up the border. So far all we hear from them is ‘crickets.’ I guarantee you that this will blow over in a few weeks like all the other viruses that somehow pop up during an election year.

The Dow Jones has almost doubled since Trump has been president. I don’t know if that was due to him or not? Sure he takes credit for it...what president doesn’t take credit for things? But more importantly gold has gone up almost $500 an ounce Canadian in the last few years. There are a lot of financial experts saying that the economic people behind Trump are backing the U.S dollar with gold. Sort of a reverse of the 1970’s when the U.S. went off the gold standard. You can't keep printing money out of thin air and pound people with interest to pay it back. Eventually you will cause hyper-inflation which will then turn into a depression.

I talk to Americans on the chair at Whistler 2 days a week and I can attest to the fact that a significant number of them think that Trump is the worst President ever. How so many people can think he is the best ever and so many think the opposite is a mystery to me.

Most of the ones supporting him will never say it to other people for fear of being harrassed, assaulted or having their property stolen or damaged.

The actions of the "tolerant" left is why my natural left-leaning politics have been challenged, and changed.
