The best political answear to a question is a vague generalized statement or a return question or no comment.....

When SNC lavlin gets convicted, it will hurt the people employed by them. But does the law extend only to federal contracts. Maybe they can survive on provincial contracts.

Trudeau seems to be fucked, but he can always start a trade war with China or actual war to make it go away.....

He has about 2 months to turn it around, before the election race starts to come into play. In the meantime he could get rid of the hooker bill. May be he could revamp the economy, not on oil but renewables. Be conservative for the environment (uphold current legislation for the environment). Mega projects, 4 or 5 of them would create work and be healthy for the economy.

MegaProjects:
High speed train between Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. (electric trains with own source of energy that can be renewable and extra sold to local provincial power grid/company)
High speed train between Edmonton and Calgary (cause I know these Albertans love each other)
Upgrade national railway lines.
Build superports in Halifax and Vancouver, Montreal.
Infrastructure to northern Ontario to get to minerals etc.
the key would be to look where energy is and where it needs to go. build infrastucture for that.
Megaport up north in the NW passage. key aspects of northern resources explotation.
Transport and communications. More fibre optics land lines.
Research and development.
A national space agency that does something.

other stuff
New building codes to include some renewable energy options. or secondary heating.
Household to hold a 3 to 7 day supply of food/water in case of natural disaster/emergency. Help others to help themselves by forcing them to commit to having these supplies. (you buy 2, 5 gal containers for water and stock up on kraft dinner and a few can goods).
You forgot the one he actually announced. He thinks he's our version of JFK. We are going to the moon. For fucks sake, it's already been done.

Somehow taxes will be involved. Harper lowered gst to 5% and was starting to cut programs, the liberals were voted in, not because they wanted the liberals, but because of Harper. So to pay for all the promises, gst will have to be raised up, and other sources of income made for the federal government.

nobody likes taxes.

We can only hope.

I remember a joke I heard as a kid.Pierre Trudeau is flying across Canada and when the plane is over Alberta Justin asks his father for 5 $1 bills to throw out the window to make 5 Albertans happy.Pierre gives Justin the money and Justin runs to the cockpit and throw the $5 out of a window. The pilot then says "chuck your

dad out the window and make the WHOLE of Alberta happy"

SR
I made that same joke to 4 American idiots visiting Whistler 2 years ago just after Trump was elected, except it was Trump that was suggested to be thrown out of the plane. They did not laugh because they were stunned enough to think Trump was a good choice. I know, can you imagine such stupidity ?! I am guessing that if they have any brains at all, they are second guessing that point of view now. And if they are so stunned as to still believe in Trump, when his little empire comes crashing down in the not too distant future, they will be in for a big surprise lol.

It takes a man with balls to stare down protestors who disagree with you and are throwing tomatoes at you.

It takes a man with balls to deal with terrorism with absolute measures and quell a pending civil problem.

It takes a man with balls to have to deal with a national identity issue between the French and English Canadians.
you forgot the one where he ran from the second world war

such a man

Wish I would have been in the boxing ring with him instead of Patrick Brazeau. I would beat the shit out of him.

What I love about this thread is the pure alt right, white nationalist, Rebel Media driven hysteria, you guys are practically cumming on each other with excitement ... too bad Andrew Scheer keeps fuckin' things up by rubbin' elbows with racists and false news conspirators, he actually managed to lose approval rating with all his hysterical howling for a RCMP investigation, isn't that POLITICAL INTERFERENCE (to use SR's capslock) ... his latest fuck up was fuckin' priceless - that's why his personal approval rating is in the shithouse! Trudeau and the Liberals are already bouncing back and that is why the Liberals will win the next election!

SR - Canada's GDP is over $2 trillion dollars annually, the canola industry claims to be worth $26.7 billion annually. Do the fucking math or learn to use a calculator - that is no where near your claim that it is 17% of our GDP. What is an actual FACT, your repeated false claims involving science, math, economics, history, events, ethnicities and ideologies.

You sound like the communists who cut off my grandpas beard and hung him upside down on a flagpole by his feet without food and water for three days.

Anyone want to start a poll on how many users here have revised their political beliefs as a result of any of these threads?

I would say maybe slim and none, and slim left town. Respective beliefs are firmly entrenched.

I would say the posts with excessive hyperbole only tend to reinforce peoples confirmation bias about the 'other side'.

but then there's reality, which even a deaf/blind person can grasp

3 women, basically disagreeing with his Lies, all Liberals

they aren't the only ones, the others aren't joining just yet

the old guard of the Liberals, there are more than a few who don't like Zoolander or his ultra left wing swing

there are those in the center who aren't, slightly left and right who aren't going to put up with his BS

those are the ones who will make the difference, not the left wing nut jobs or the right wing

he's a figurehead, he's not a leader, a name, like Trump, he wouldn't have won the Liberal leadership otherwise, Justin Jablonkson, you think he would have won with that name based on his record/CV, lol

this is showing it, not that it wasn't already obvious, he has no qualifications for the job

even if he wins a minority, he's finished

I would be interested in your thoughts on #PizzagateAndy. #WeakAndy stares nodding at a questioner who clearly makes claims that include trying to tie the Prime Minister to 'child sacrifice' and #WeakAndy's response is that he didn't really hear the question and had never even heard of pizzagate. Too bad it is all on tape, it is just more #ScheerNonsense from #AltRightAndy

That is not true.I used to vote Liberal both Provincially and Federally with blind faith up until the Sponsorship Administration Program (ADSCAM) when the Liberals stole 250 MILLION from tax payers and doled it out to their cronies.

After that I jumped ship and have voted Conservative.I have said it before and I will say it again. As far as I am concearned you can strategically shave a monkey and dress it in a nice suit and give it a blue tie and I would vote for that over
any thieving Lieberal. The latest BS over the SNC Lavalin scandal is just more proof of how corrupt the Lieberal party is no matter who is the leader.

I have voted Liberal. I have voted Reform. I have voted Conservative.

Trudeau was always an empty suit, though. This doesn't change anything.

Yes. It will be interesting to see how well Trudeau functions now that Prime Minister Butts has resigned. Most likely though, Butts is still pulling the strings from his home.

Or maybe it's Prime Minister Telford now. Could we call that a win for feminism?
