You don't get to call people foolish if you don't know their means and priorities. For a billionaire with no desire for LTR, these are trivial amounts and a trivial decision. Even for a reasonably affluent middle-class guy, losing 50% of their wealth in a possible relationship breakup is a much larger risk that they are avoiding by dealing with professionals. Who's to say what's "too much" if it's something they can afford to and enjoy.

Now, there are people who spend what they cannot afford, and that's not smart. Still can be smarter than some guys who's on the hook for spousal support to three different exes for life.

Like any other recreational activity, as long as you are spending within your means I don’t see a problem.

There might be some, we don't know. Even if not, it does not justify a blanket insult at people who make more than you do. If people can afford a marriage + divorce, they can alternatively afford spending 50% of their wealth lifetime on escorts. So a middle class guy with a few million $ in assets could spend like 50K / year on escorts and be quite within their means. Surely, there are many upper middle class and rich people on the forum (doctors, realtors, business owners...)

As I was saying before my post got flagged for removal...btw my opinion was coming from a personal life perspective, it was not meant as advertising. Anyways...

As long as a man spends within his means, just like this would apply to any recreational activity, I don’t see a problem.

Have you any idea how much money there is in Vancouver?

Spending on SP's is no different than spending (wasting) thousands on Canucks season tickets, going to every big concert that comes to town, gambling on sure losing at casinos, or buying jewellry, exotic vehicles, boats or collectibles.

One possible reason is because they feel empty inside. The bragging about money spent, inflated or accurate, helps to distract them, at least for a moment, from that emptiness.

Another reason is male competitiveness, but in cases where pretty much all a man can yap about is his money and his spending, it's usually a sign something else is going on under the surface.

The bigger question might be how often does a person see escorts rather than how much they spend. There are plenty of ladies that charge $10,000+ per night. In that case a couple hundred thousand a year goes quickly. I'm guessing that's still a lot cheaper than having Melania around.
