on yer ignore list
The timeout wouldn't have done much. Crosby was wide open because Hamuis screwed up. He left his man (Crosby) to go to his partner's side. When on his partner's side (I think he was out with Tanev), he slipped and fell down. Pass went over to Crosby and Sid buried it.
even in the pregame the talking heads were saying that hamhuis had one job and only one job to do - stay on crosby!! but he forgot for those critical few seconds... sid NEVER forgets, lol

well, hopefully the experience makes him a better player

btw, i thought that goal by kassian was SWEET!!!

Had to bet against the Canucks tonight, even odds with the Blues this hot!!
came back to bite you ....lol
hey , we all love and hate them , but gotta admit that was a good effort last night.
Finally , and not a bunch of dumb penalty's and we finally got a zebra that gave us a little bone.
this should give them a boost so they can really blow it in LA ....:)

The last 2 minutes were hard to watch, thought for sure they would tie it up.
I was still surprised most betting sites had the game even. St Louis is a better team, has a better road record than the Canucks home record, Blues on hot streak, Canucks ice cold, Canucks full of injuries. Blues did have a game Thursday.....................well sort of.
But we finally get a win against a possible first round matchup, and keep it under 45 shots.
I guess I better take the Saints outright, so the Seahawks win.

Must be living right neil, I parlayed my Rangers with Canucks and Jackets last night for $102. All playing teams that were on B2B.

Fired pretty much blind on 4 college hoops games today and just won $218. Got really lucky Western Michigan covered against Miami-Ohio in OT.

Now what can I get for $300 or so ... hmmmmm :thumb:

Too bad Booth didn't work out for Canucks. Too many injuries plus he is not a Tort type player. He will be traded or play for a different team in the near future. Wish him the best!

His contract is untradeable . Any team that actually wants him, will be able to sign him much cheaper than his next years salary, after the buyout. Plus they don't have to give anything in trade to the Canucks.

Looks like the plan is to keep him off the ice in bubble wrap till June 14, or whenever buyouts are allowed.

Well- that character-building effort against LA sure paid dividends.

They pounded Anaheim into the ice. Oh, wait...

The Ducks have been my favorite team for years ever since the Getzalf Perry Ryan line formed. Plus I get to watch them on prime time TV at 700pm most nights.
Really surprised at how damm good they are. Without 2 top D men in Sheldon Souray and Luca Sisba they are getting it done and that's unheard of with two top defensemen injured.
It might be a peak too soon for the Ducks, maybe they will run out of gas toards playoff time?

I'm starting to warm to AV. My Rangers are actually starting to look like a team. Sure as hell school Ottawa in their own barn today.

I liked Torts, but maybe this was a good thing for NYR. Bring on Ovie and the Crapitals (Sunday, 4:30 p.m., TSN2).

Are you condoning Tortorella's boorish, childish, unprofessional tantrum and blaming the messenger?
So are we to put out the twins vs Calgary's goons?

Come on, you know wtf Calgary pulled. Hartley said his goons scored a goal lately pffft what a pile of crap.

I would say that Hartley was trying to mindfuck Tortarella with that move. Looks like it worked too. Torts has some obvious weaknesses, mainly his temper, and the opposition is wise to exploit it. You might see more of this against him...

Agreed, it's the game within the game and clearly Tort's Achilles heel is he loses his mind.

However, NHL has come a long way since the Flyers of the 70's and opening face off is either your 1st or 2nd line matchup with the visiting team.

Hartley's message was we think we are tougher than you so let's see what you got. Torts should have kept his cool and let the players do the talking, playing and fighting.
