Im utterly and totally shocked LL is not on this list with their 95% fake photos/ads
Not shocked Crypto is on this list. The article is vague, the video has some more detail. From FB Marketplace to Craigslist to all the bs on social media comment sections, scams are everywhere even if not directly targeting you. And in this hobby it's no different. I get some places use fake photos as to hide identity for the provider but most that do usually post a close approximation while many others just use stolen pics as a more truer form of B&S. Im not ashamed to admit I've been scammed a few times in my younger days by the fake photos/ads. And despite how hot the photos look on an ad today, I do my due diligence. You live and you learn.
With the hundreds of millions of dollars and the amount of light shined on scams today there are so many people still getting taken. Does it say more about the people scamming or getting scammed? Or is it just so lucrative. Say what you will about CBC News as a whole their Marketplace has done a really good job of exposing scams from not just foul actors but large companies.
