Electrolysis could work too.
Wax is good too. There is another form called sugaring (I find sugaring less painful). The more you wax; the smaller the root hairs.
So if you are doing the "40 year old virgin" with waxing its gonna hurt, mostly because the hair roots are large.
So if you don't like pain the progression is usually shaving, then waxing, then electrolysis. But expect some pain.

Just came back from waxing the hole. My 1st time waxing. (I shave the front myself) There was no pain. But I took an aspirin just in case.

I must be a unicorn. Not an elephant.
Shaving in the shower for over 25 years. Never had issues with cuts or ingrown hairs. Extremely smooth.

In absence of shaving cream, I have shaved using regular bath soap a few times. Never had an issue either.

Can anyone recommend a place where to get electrolysis in Vancouver? I'm tired of shaving and I don't like the growing airs between two waxing sessions.
