His agent confirmed that he wants to be traded.
What, the $6 million/year paycheque isn't good enough?

it's more about his wife than him, she wants to go back to missouri where she's from.
i thought edmonton was full of inbreed buttfuckers! she should feel
right at home there ...

or does she just miss the Klan meetings? In Alberta they're called 'conservatives', honey!

Confirmed - Bert got traded to Florida. In all, it is a good move for him and the Canucks. Ever since the Moore incident, he was more of a liability to the Canucks than an asset. It is good that he can move on and so can the Canucks.

Maybe he should have looked into that before signing a 5 year $30 mill contract.

K-Lowe should trade him right now while his post-Cup-run value is still high. The Blues have the Number 1 draft pick today if Prongs wants to go back to St. Lou.

thing is, do we really want a #1 pick this year? This is supposed to be a very weak draft.
Yeah, but but maybe the Oils can get Eric Brewer back along with the draft pick.

Another option is to send him to Florida for Jay Bouwmeester, who is another Pronger-like player.

Interesing quote. I'm curious to know whether or not you consider yourself to be one of the "enlightened ones". That is to say that you are of course not bigoted in any way except towards "inbred motherfuckers".

I currently live in Alberta, but was not born here, and I can say that there are more than a few Albertans who don't subscribe to the 'Conservative' point of view.

But I can also understand your jealousy directed at us, since our housing prices have skyrocketed, taxes are reasonable, most of us are employed, we likely will see another round of "conservative bucks" and people arefalling over themselves to get here.

I'd like to see Bouwmeester here, I think he's an edmonton boy too. He's got alot of potential. I really don't want to see Brewer back, I think that he was over hyped.

You are correct... I should! Maybe you can recommend a lovely lady to help me regain it this morning. :p

As to getting Brewer back... NO Thanks. Trade Pronger if his wife wantsto go back to Missouri and sign Chara.

Bouwmeester is indeed an Edmonton lad and will likely be somewhat cheaper than Pronger. And Mad Mike Keenan is the Panthers GM who was in St. Louis when he acquired Pronger. Make it so, K-Lo!

Edmonton Oilers GM Kevin Lowe said he will take his time in trading superstar defenseman Chris Pronger, but that won't stop teams from calling.

The Oilers have reportedly spoken to at least a dozen teams regarding Pronger.

According to the Chicago Daily Herald, the Blackhawks, Ottawa Senators, Florida Panthers, New York Rangers and Toronto Maple Leafs have all shown a significant interest.

Citing one report, the paper claims the Senators offered Martin Havlat, Chris Phillips and a first-round draft pick for Pronger, while the Panthers offered a package revolving around Jay Bouwmeester.

Other reports have suggested the Oilers have also been speaking to the likes of the Philadelphia Flyers and San Jose Sharks.

I want Rick Nash or Simon Gagne for Pronger. I don't think Pronger fits into St. Louis' rebuilding plans, so it looks like his wife is out of luck hehehe.

I also predict that the Oilers will win the Stanley Cup before Chris Pronger does.
