Timing Out

Is there any way to change the time out features of PERB in your user options?

I seem to be timing out before completing a post, and when I hit "Submit" I get the damn "you are not logged in" box. If I'm not too frustrated and remember in time, I can hit the back arrow and copy the entry and then paste it into a new post after logging in again. Unfortunately, I always have to go back to the first log-in screen and then try to manipulate my way back to the thread I was trying to post to. More times than not, I simply abandon it and don't bother posting.

The same applies to the PM features.

I've used similar boards based on the same underlying bulletin board program and never experience this on the other boards. This means that there has to be something in the settings that's causing it to time out.

Oh yes - keyboarding is not a problem as I can type faster than most people. The problem is in how quickly it times out.

Also, I've tried doing posts in Word and then cutting and pasting them. By the time I do this, I've timed out of the board entirely in any event. As no one else seems to be complaining about this, I assume it must be something on my settings that are causing this problem.

1. Go to your User CP (or User Control Panel) near the top.
2. Go to Edit Options
3. Find Automatically login when you return to the site? (uses cookies)
4. select the Yes option
5. Click on the Submit Modifications button at the bottom of the screen.
