lol, Winnipeg.... a fucking dumpster fire that keeps on burning....

At least these were people "in the game", and not random civilians.

Most homicides of this nature in Canada are done internally, and as long as it's keeps being internal then normal people won't be demanding "2nd Amendment" rights to handle the situation themselves.

WPS stated that this may be the only double homicide in Canada where the victims killed each other. Possibly only one other in the USA. The real danger is to innocent bystanders.

A shootout in a public restaurant endangering others and injuring a server? Afraid I can't call that justice.

The restaurant is open until 0430. Nothing good ever happens then.

It is one of the oldest gangbanger hangouts, since at least the 90s.
There are definite no go areas, stay out of them and you have no problems.

In the movies there been dozens of the stand off shootings. wonder where they got the ideal from. People don't respect the public and innocent bystanders anymore, its all about themselves.

Its sad, I grew up in a law abiding country called Canada. I grew up in a medium sized town. There were no such things as gangs. From my late teen, there were high interest rates and high unemployment. The difference between rich, middle class and the dirt poor increased.

High taxes, low paying jobs has people turning to crime to meet their basic needs and to get a few extras...

So farmers will now have guns nearby when a strange vehicle comes to their farm....

The increase in gangs and cooperation of between gangs and organized crime is getting better. The police are at a point where their effectiveness is decreasing due to legal issues and safety for themselves.

So how many of you have done the following:
1. Spit on street
2. Jay walk
3. litter (from car or when walking ) threw garbage on the ground
4. Sped on highway/road above the speed limit
6. Failed to stop at a stop sign (did the old American rolling stop)
7. Ran a red light, or could of stopped for that yellow
8. ate an fruit/vegetable in grocery store to see how it tasted, but didn't pay for it (theft)
9. Skipped out on last months rent and moved out
10. Drive your car without insurance, steal a tag off someone's else's car
11. Broke into a car and stole stuff or borrowed a friends tools and never returned it.
12. Told someone a lie. (includes white lies) or lied for someone to protect someone
13. Unfairly took advantage of someone or situation when you knew it was wrong
14 Hurt someone physically (reason doesn't matter)
15 Broke stuff at a house party and didn't pay for it or tell the owner
16 Disrespect somebody

Nobody is perfect. Somewhere in the above list (not a complete list) ; are where criminals start ( at little things we think aren't so bad), and just increases from their because of their choices, or lack of choices...

As sad as the start may be, it may come to the point where people will get hurt or killed, because people want to protect themselves.

Judge, Jury and Executioner...... don't be a vigilante, use the police please.

If you are carrying a gun around (personnal -- not professionally like a cop or security -- hand gun, rifles don't count they are for hunting ):
1. Either you did something wrong and you know people are out to get you,
2. You are a criminal

Everybody knows we need to revise our thoughts and beliefs on our entire justice system, until then we will just keep recycling these same criminals through our system and spitting them out on our streets. Right now the idea of true "rehabilitation" is a joke.
There used to be lots of rehabilitation.
Then "getting tough on criminals" became politically advantageous.
Now they go in, do fuck all, get hardened and toughened, and come out worse.
I would love to walk to my vehicle after a Jets game without worrying about getting knifed for a cigarette.
My friend's daughter is over six feet tall and does MMA. She often gets security gigs at the MTS. She has been jumped after, one time three girls grabbed her purse. She chased the one with her purse down and pounded the crap out of her. Had to let her go because the other two pulled out knives.
It seems like half of Winnipeg is on meth.
Another friend is a medical professional. His son is clearly on meth but the family refuses to deal with it.
We know a business owner whose son stole over $100,000 cash plus merchandise over meth.
This cuts across every level of society, every neighbourhood, every race.
Now that kids from Lindenwoods are affected the government might take an interest.
