Almost beyond comprehension.

There are a few others out there as well and same as Cock Throppled, I thought they were AI at first. Mother Nature is absolutely terrifying at times. Hundreds missing, I'm hard pressed to think many if any will be found alive. CBC edited the worst bits out, the uncut footage is far more graphic.
And science has been putting out warnings on this kind of thing for what, 50+ years?
Just like so many end of times movies it always starts with the science being ignored.

From my point of view every country or region with populations or infrastructure in the vicinity of glaciers should be looking pretty seriously at slide probability as this will happen again.

It Climate change, like it or not, its here. Whether its a glacier melting or the more moisture/water air can hold due to the increase in temperature, which means more sudden downpours and flash floods in areas we don't suspect....
I think you will see more of these floods and flash flood (from down pours) more often as the temp increases...

Sure its horrible, have you been to the downtown eastside of Vancouver... that is horrible too... One is a quick death and the other is a slow death... I am trying to point out that in everyday life, there are just as bad/horrilbe things happening to humanity, but we all tend to ignore them...or is covered up by the press....
How many times have videos been edited to not show death in disasters and in terrorist attacks or war footage. Most of the population is shielded from these unniceities... The one word I can use is Brutal....
When people around the office ask for donations for "horrible things" or "someones family past away".
