If the issue is Iraq...you shouldn't be there. If it's hunting down Bin Laden, absolutely go get him, it's your right to do so. To say "to hell with the rest of the world" is ridiculous. If it's the U.S. against the rest of the world, you will lose militarily and will suffer more than anyone economically. Unless CNN, MSNBC, etc are lying all of the time, the American public is getting restless with the human and monetary costs of dealing with Iraq , how do you think it will respond to having to deal with North Korea, China, and Iran all at the same time? And what if Germany, Japan, France, and the Russians said "fuck you" and joined in with the others? Don't get me wrong, the entire world will actually lose as WWIII would and will certainly be the last one. There will be no winner or loser.
Now unfortunately it appears that you need a strong, no bullshit leader but make no mistake, you also need some diplomacy and statesmanship. Neither Bush nor Kerry are the full meal deal and are equally scary in their own way. Bush's "leadership" could potentially lead to the end of the world. Kerry will leave you very vulnerable which could ultimately result in even more severe retaliation, leading to the end of the world. Some choices. One's a pretend war hero, the other a privileged draft dodger. They both lie and they both "flip-flop". All politicians do and, hey, we're not any better off...our political landscape is pathetic too.
As a Canadian, it shouldn’t be any of my business but unfortunately we live right next door and the last I saw, we are part of this world that stands to be destroyed.
The only good thing I have to say is, I wouldn't mind having a threesome with Bush's daughters.
