I don't remember the terrorists taking responisiblity for that? I thought that was some nutcase within the US?
They still don't know. It takes alot to make anthrax and I know they were tracking some guy that worked in a lab. But I did not hear any more.

There has been some recent letters mailed to state govenors, these were crude bombs and that is more like some US nut case.

Is this the same Saddam that the Reagan and Bush Sr were giving arms and training too while he was helping them fight the Irians? So he was good now's he bad? And where are those supposed WMD? If we should be taking on anybody it should be North Korea since they have declared they already have nukes and why is it only ok for the U.S. to have them and not anybody else. Please don't tell me it's for self defense cause you don't need whatever the ridicucolus amount the U.S. has to defend itself.
Same one.

It is hard to judge Bush from what the media alone make him out to be, remember they can take anyone and make them into anything. There are all kinds of celebrities who go from media favourite to pariah overnight, yet they are still the same person. I would like to meet Bush and have a good long talk with him before forming an opinion of whether he's an idiot or not.
At the moment I'm not really impressed with him and I think he has made some serious mistakes, but I'm even less impressed with John Kerry. Hillary was bad, but that Heinz lady, yikes!

I have solved the worlds problems with just a 2 four.

How many times have you sat in a pub and with two or three friends fix every problem in the world after just a few pints (oooops sorry a few litres).

What the world needs is more beer.

I am 54 years old spent time in nam been around the world a couple of times and one thing is for sure i get tired of our supposed friends trashing us at every oppurtunity. The one thing that americans have to realize is that the only people that are going to protect us is us our friends they talk a good game especially the french but when push comes to shove it is us americans protecting americans and to hell with the rest of the world simple as that. Ugly american? you bet.

"In times of peace it's easy to be allies.
In times of war is when you find out who your allies really are."

If the issue is Iraq...you shouldn't be there. If it's hunting down Bin Laden, absolutely go get him, it's your right to do so. To say "to hell with the rest of the world" is ridiculous. If it's the U.S. against the rest of the world, you will lose militarily and will suffer more than anyone economically. Unless CNN, MSNBC, etc are lying all of the time, the American public is getting restless with the human and monetary costs of dealing with Iraq , how do you think it will respond to having to deal with North Korea, China, and Iran all at the same time? And what if Germany, Japan, France, and the Russians said "fuck you" and joined in with the others? Don't get me wrong, the entire world will actually lose as WWIII would and will certainly be the last one. There will be no winner or loser.

Now unfortunately it appears that you need a strong, no bullshit leader but make no mistake, you also need some diplomacy and statesmanship. Neither Bush nor Kerry are the full meal deal and are equally scary in their own way. Bush's "leadership" could potentially lead to the end of the world. Kerry will leave you very vulnerable which could ultimately result in even more severe retaliation, leading to the end of the world. Some choices. One's a pretend war hero, the other a privileged draft dodger. They both lie and they both "flip-flop". All politicians do and, hey, we're not any better off...our political landscape is pathetic too.

As a Canadian, it shouldn’t be any of my business but unfortunately we live right next door and the last I saw, we are part of this world that stands to be destroyed.

The only good thing I have to say is, I wouldn't mind having a threesome with Bush's daughters.

Fudd, Canada "supported" (not really a good word for it) the U.S. as it was under attack and has in the resulting activity in Afghanistan. At least as best Canada can with limited resources. What Canada has not supported is the INVASION of, not war with, Iraq. I hated Chretien with a passion. For the most part he was a senile disgrace to our country, but I agreed with him on Iraq.

Let's say America goes ahead and says "Fuck You" to everyone that pisses them off. Eventually they will end up saying it to everybody, and the world will be just the way they want it: USA vs the World.
Those of us who live in the real world have learned that you can disagree with somebody without hating them. Sometimes I disagree with friends but I don't berate them childishly. Other countries and other points of view exist, there's no point in ignoring them or calling them names and hoping they'll go away.
The EC may soon overtake the USA in terms of economic power. At present, the USA depends on it's military for much of its prestige and influence, but the time is fast approaching when it will not be able to afford such a large and expensive military. Much of America's wealth is dependent upon international trade, but they continue to violate trade agreements as they see fit. They demand access to foreign markets for their products but ban foreign products whenever they can. When they lost at the WTO for the third time in a row over the Canadian Wheat Board their response was not to obey the ruling but to declare that the agreement, which they signed, was wrong and should be rewritten. It will be interesting see how the American economy fares once they make pariahs of themselves. If their economy takes a serious downturn they will not be able to fund their military. America with a weakened military would garner little respect. Then what?

I'm surprised nobody has brought up the Bhopal, India disaster. More people were killed there than in the World Trade Center. I don't see India declaring war on the USA, or invading Wall Street to get the money-grubbing bastards who are happy to build highly dangerous chemical plants next to residential areas as long as it spells profit.

The CEO of Union Carbide the corporation that owned the Bhopal plant went to India after the tragedy. He quickly turned tail and ran home because there was strong evidence that he and the rest of the Board of Directors had direct knowledge that such an accident was possible, if not highly probable. Sure enough, he was indicted in India but continues to live large in his retirement in Florida, all the while giving the big F*** You! to the Indian government and the victims and their families who would like to see justice done. He's got no worries, since the US will never extradite a rich, white, CEO, no matter how many people his greed killed or maimed. In the US, the ultimate arbiter of justice is how much money you have and who your friends are. So whenever an American whines about all their jobs that have been outsourced to India, remind them that the US and its corporate culture owes that country a lot more than a few IT call centre jobs. And to Mr. Anderson, somewhere out there, F*** You! May you rot in hell.

I do not see a weak US military in the short term regardless of the economic conditions. We just need to print more money. It would devalue the US dollar, but then our huge trade deficit would be reduced....

Anyway, I am watching the situation in North Korea very closely and I think I am seeing a positive change in the US foreign policy. We should not be the policemen for the world...or if you prefer the bully that is called in when a thug gets unruly....

The US position on N Korea should be that is China's problem. Bush announced a reduction of US troops in the DMZ. I would cheer if they were pulled out completely.

Next is to pull out of Germany, I do not know why we still have troops there, the cold war is over Bring them home.
