Phillip came to me today,
and said it was time to go.
I looked at him and smiled,
as I softly said, “I know."

I then turned and looked around
and soon I was asleep.
All my family gathered ‘round
and I could hear them weep.

I gently touched each shoulder,
with Phillip by my side.
Then I turned away and left
with my angel guide.

Phillip held my hand,
as he lead the way,
to a world where kings and queens
are angels every day.

I received a crown to wear
or a halo, known by some.
The difference is up here
they are worn by everyone.

I felt a calming sense of peace,
as my reign came to an end.
For seventy years I had served
as the people’s friend.

Thank you for the years,
for all your time and love.
Now I am one of two again,
in our palace up above.

Some friends of mine are especially sad upon learning of the queen's passing. Namely because they had the opportunity to meet her majesty in the past.

Conspiracy nut at work says all our money is now worthless because the Queen’s picture is on it. She is dead and so is our money, or something stupid like that.
Anyone who doesn’t want this now worthless money can send it to me.
This has been covered in the media a lot in the last 2 days to assure everyone, it's still legal tender. It won't stop the morons from saying stupid things, but yes, I will be happy to exchange your worthless money for some shiny rocks as well. PM for details nutjobs.

Strange how the world works here in the West. All the woke fucks screaming at unvaccinated people few months back are now sad that a monarch of U.K died after living 90 years. I hope you ppl know the history of British monarchy, they enslaved, rapped, tortured wiped out hundreds of cultures in the world. A small example from my country, India. During world war 2, these ppl starved to death millions of Indians just to hoard grains for their ppl.

She was born into a world far different from ours. Kids under fifty have no idea what the post-WW2 world was like.

Yeah I think so too.

Her Majesty inherited a life of privilege, but chose a life of service.

Tom Brokaw's NYT best seller, The Greatest Generation, made this plain.

Back then, the word "service" made people think of their country, not the wait staff at White Spot.

Just remember the first 20 minutes of Saving Private Ryan (1998), or the last 3/4 of Memphis Belle (1990).

Sorry about that Mate! Maybe you should put a link to that here. Unfortunately the Nazis would of exterminated all coloured people, because of their ideology; if they won WW2. Here in Canada, there was rationing (food and materials) for the war effort. One reason property lots were so big, was so that people could grow their own food in their back yards in cities around that time and was kept that way till the 70-80s.
Wealth and priveledge breeds ignorance. But also note the caste system is still at work in India today (google india caste system). Although the British did alot of what you mentioned, it was done by greedy persons in search of fortunes in another land. Humans are still like that and break those rules that they can if no one is looking...
You should watch the Netflix on the Queen's family, where the monarchy has to redefine itself in modern times. The Queen's best defense was to remain neutral in politics, and hopefully her son King Charles will continue that stance.

For all the ill-informed people who want to get rid of the monarchy-- God Save the King..... I have my reasons...

You just need google Bengal famine and Churchill's role in it. Also google how many Indian soldiers died fighting against Nazis during world war two. Also google how much money was contributed towards fighting Nazis by India. If Canada was rationing during world war two please enlighten us on how many Canadian starved because of it. 3 million Indians died of starvation in 1943. I don't care how British monarchy redefined themselves, they still shamelessly sit on shit load of money their ancestors stole from all over the world by mass murdering millions. Cast system lol, OK.
Greedy ppl don't mass murder people. Nice way to whitewash mass murders by calling the perpetrators greedy.
Imagine a world where Hitler won and his descendents redefined themselves still sitting on billions Hitler looted and ppl like you praising them for it today.

It’s funny seeing all the descendants of buttfuck peasants bitter about the royalty. Can’t we not just honour a woman who gave her life to service?

It has been a constitutional monarchy for a while so it’s not like she had real absolute power. Whether the monarchy is gone at this point makes no real difference to people’s lives. Just continue on with your life.

A good read. But other than the British and WW2 going on, there were other factors that contributed to the famine.

You need to look at these carefully, before just blaming just the English.

In the past when the UK was in charge in India, they were top dog. The fox was in charge of the henhouse. It is changed now, longer than the Queen has been on the throne. She became queen in 52 and India became a republic in 1950. For its contribution to the war effort, India gained its freedom from the UK. But anybody that is pro India will probally always blame the UK for India's woes, and if you are doing this 70 years after India became a republic.....

87,000 still other countries lost more, including UK, US, USSR
So Canada lost 42,000 out of 12 million, and India lost 87,000 out of 361 million. That is 0.35%(35/100 of 1%) for Canada vs 0.024% (24/1000 of 1%) for India. So it can be said that the effect of losing men in WW2, it affected Canada more than India.

I don't know about us being descendants of peasants but you sure sound like a descendant of a racist colonizer.

I am sure you know how Wikipedia works. If British officials in 1943 were saying what I wrote here but you want to believe Wikipedia, go ahead. Lol you think British left India because of our contribution to WW2, lol. No point to argue with you after this statement of yours.

Kind of like what other native tribes have been doing to each other before the "white-man" came to these shores, huh?
Apocalypto.jpg << good movie, if you can stomach it...

But here you are, crying about it on a computer, which is by-product of such a civilization the monarchy created.

Britain was just a bigger tribe. So is China come to think of it. What if during the Ming Dynasty they discovered America first? And consider their track record of Human Rights today.

If written history proves anything, is that if it wasn't going to be done to you, someone else would've done it anyway. I would also try to explain how today's marginalized people are "getting off light" compared to how things were truly handled back in the day, but that would require a 1,000 page dissertation, properly written, and properly read by the very people who can't retain their attention span past a Twitter's character cap per post. ....all one could do is "learn and move on", and since this Queen isn't known for numerous human rights violations in this modern age, I'd say she is the pinnacle of progress people like you bitch about. I mean, she allows illegal immigration to flood into the UK, with all the rights and benefits of a British citizen, even at the expense of established British citizens. Since immigrants can make no-go zones and behead white teachers without prosecution.....but yeah, "East India Trading Company" was so evil 300 years ago let's remember that forever instead of the benefits YOU have reaped all your life from the monarchy.
