Now it is up to the individual states to vote in people who support abortion at the state level and they will either get rid of their states ban or continue allowing it. Congress needs to get some balls and try and pass the right to abortion.

This is actually Democracy working.

A breath of fresh air 👏👏👏👏👏. Someone who now actually sees through the Bullshit. I have an America friend who I see through work from time to time and he too voted for Biden. He and his buddies now can't stand him is what he told when i saw him about1 month ago. That admin are bunch of buffoons is how he refers to them. Lol...love it.

I am just enraged at BIden. I am an American frome Seattle and things here are already gearing up for a big fight. The Christian White Nationalists have stepped over a line that I think is going to cost them the Midterms. Biden, whom I voted for is a god damn waterass and has reniged on alot of things {pot for 1}. I think this would be a great oppurtunity for Canadians to open abortion clinics just north of the border to help the poor female soles down here. I am so ASHAMED of my country. This won't stop here. Gay rights. is next

Dual citizen here, absolutely heartsick from this. The predictable march from anti-trans genocide to the rest of the rainbow is well underway with “Justice” Thomas explicitly calling out Obergefell and Lawrence as next in line. They will not be happy until all us queers are dead or back in the closet, and I’m pretty sure they prefer the former. They are fine with women as long as they are enslaved to make babies and to be punching bags. Just beyond grotesque.

100% echo the remarks on Biden and the Dems’ shocking spinelessness for decades as they pursue the ever-receding, so-called “middle” while selling out their real base and basic governance. The Jan 6 hearing offer some slim hope but I don’t see us exiting the new dark age very soon.

The last time the democrats held majorities in both houses was 2011. Blaming the democrats for what the religious right (republicans) did, is not the answer. The thing in politics is that if its not threatened, you do not move on it.

The answer is to start a go fund me page, for the assassination of the supreme court judges that overturned Roe vs Wade. I'm kidding. Although 2-3 dead Republicans' ones, would put a democrat back in now.... just saying...
All those dumb-fuck Republicans so swore they would never overturn Roe vs Wade. Fucking Hypocrites. Should prevent a civil war. And put perspective on why any government shouldn't be run by religion. Separate church and state. In America you could practice religious freedoms, and not be persecuted (at least that is the bassline of propaganda the US constitution throws out). Now the Right Wing Christian Conservatives are using politics to further their religion. It the Right wing Christian right that is the support for Muslim killings in the US. Seems to be a problem, with these right wing thinking SOBs, if they don't like it, they kill something or anyone that gets in their way... Wow that's got to change.

All the Roe vs Wade now does is increase the number of births in America, but on the wrong side of the poverty line. Creating a bloc of stupid, uneducated poor people. Killing the core strength of America which is an educated democracy. Republicans want dumb fucks to vote for idiots like Trump, Whose goal is to rule by mob rule. Not great in a democracy.

Lately I was watching Disney, "under the banner of heaven". A murder of a wife and child (brutally) in Mormon state and city. The interference of Religious leaders who try to control the state thru connections and interfering in police investigations.

Our best bet (in Canada) is to shun business with the US states that make abortion illegal or difficult for women. Take the money away, don't deal with them.

What really sickened me was on the news an 18 year old women (prob still living at home with ma and pa), who has no life experience, (except the protection of her over protective system she lives in); is so thrilled about getting Roe vs Wade overturned, she has no concept of what it might mean to her in the future. Young, dumb and no fucken clue on what goes on in the real world.

The other side is all the women that are silent about women's rights that are Republicans. Are they scared to speak up to their men, afraid to get beaten, or divorced if they dare speak up. I would like to say that I now know that all Republican women are cowed by their husbands.

A third thought is how the Christian religions are seeing themselves compared to other sects like Muslims, Chinese and Russian atheists, Do they see themselves falling behind in numbers and have to crush democracy in America to maintain the faithful numbers... I wonder.

The decision was very bad, and in poor taste, making women in America 3rd class citizens. Slaves to Men.

I can see no sex for Men from women, until they fix the stupidity of this. Also those republican men going to see male escorts for blowjobs because the escorts and wives aren't performing for them.... isn't that gay of them?? hypocritical of them?

hilarious... Rs are already trying to soften the optics on this, suggesting that it doesn't actually end access to abortion and that they would be amicable to a bipartisan agreement at 20 weeks.

I think the D's will let them stew in it til November... Allow pro-lifers to further scream at them for absolute bans while they attempt to sugar coat things. Fuck them.

Dems need to fight fire with fire, call out the GQP for the liars and scammers that they are.
As long as the Dems remain meek and mild the US will slide into fascism.

I believe in Provincial and States rights and I think we need to maintain how our countries were framed. Health care is a State and Provincial power. In order for society to function we have to live by laws. This was a Constitutional decision not a health care decision. No rights have been lost here, they have been placed back to the State level where it’s supposed to belong. I don’t support the banning of abortion in the States taking that position, but that’s their right to decide, not the Feds.

I think the extreme level of divisiveness in society is going to cause more decisions like this to occur. There are fewer and fewer people in the middle. As a thought experiment, if the public met half way on the abortion issue and near the public consensus, would we be where we are? I say no. If abortion was limited to the first trimester (with rare exceptions) and was hard to access, this probably would have been put to bed. But nobody wants to give an inch so they challenged the Mississippi 15 week limit. The end result was a form of blowback.

I expect the same thing will eventually happen with gun laws in the US. The right won’t give an inch and it’s eventually to come back to haunt them.

And with vaccines, a lot of people won’t give an inch. And it’s causing fractures in society.

We need to start listening more to both sides and trying to meet in the middle. Otherwise, it’s all going to hell.

No.
Most GQP are unhinged lunatics and don’t give a fuck what you think.
Meeting in the middle doesn’t work with fascists. They see it as a sign of weakness.

except they just passed new gun laws after meeting in the middle

both parties have far left or right that make things difficult. That is one of the problems with the two party system.

And the other side will says the same. Who's right, who's wrong? This will never end, man and it's been like this since the dawn of time. Mind-blowing just how many times I've heard, or read that phrase over the years from people on social media, my personal life etc etc. It's a view that will differ forever and there will always be 2 sides to everything in our lives. Everything. Everyone is right in their own minds. You'll never ever get both sides --- or everyone ( the mass ) -- to agree 100%.

Yesterday, for awhile, I was watching both Fox and CNN, and it's unbelievable --- actually is believable ---- how the 2 differ in regards to this event. Or any event for that matter. Hence my statement above.

But, I do agree 100% with 80Watts. Religion and politics should be kept away for each other. Period! I was taught that when I was a kid. Nowadays, It' seems that they ( government - powers at be ) deliberately want to piss off people, take control over lives, make decision for you etc etc. They want to disrupt people's lives. Part of the plan?? Who the heck knows in today's screwed up world. Nothing makes any sense anymore.

Case in point and a big reason this issue is where it is.

Liberals had people celebrating abortion and killing a fetus the day before birth. If either side can’t call out their own lunacy, then we have a divided society. That’s where we are right now. You need to call out your own as much as the other side.

That "gun control" law is a watered down piece of crap that won't do a damn thing to stop what's been going on and even then, the vast majority of republicans voted against it. The only reason they even bothered was to try to pick up votes in the suburbs of large cities, they are owned by the NRA lock stock and barrel.
