Fuuuuuck, the old chairlift at Cypress Bowl was like that - no lie ! (I do not remember when it changed. 1990's?)

When it stopped, it was always a sudden dead-stop, and it swung like a motherfucker, so you had to hang on for dear life. Safety bar ? Even a foot rest? LOL, of course not !

Those chairlifts were a goddamned menace.
