I remember a Japanese female standup comic who was quoting her parents about how kids have it so easy these days. Most parents have the story of walking backwards up hill to school in the snow in bare feet with no lunch etc. She said her parents always said when they were going to school someone dropped an atomic bomb on them. She said it was hard to top that one.
