Fuel cell use hydrogen. Hydrogen can be made from water through electrolysis(running an electrical current through it). When hydrogen is used up in fuel cells its byproduct is water. Or when hydrogen is burnt in an ICE or gas turbine it produces water.

Unfortunate hydrogen is also very flammable. So put that on a moving vehicle that could get into accidents due to poor drivers on the road, you have a bomb ready to blow up.... yeah

Wonder if they make a vehicle that would produce its own hydrogen from water and store just enough hydrogen to run a car. All you have to do is put water in....

Happy with Teslas 3/X. Stay away (specially from the model X) if you are not into high tech stuff or are old fashioned, you'll not find it intuitive. Model 3 is more friendly that way (less features, less logical automation, fewer sensors and simpler interface etc.)

Best invest in installing a fast home charger if you buying one.
Don't buy specially the 3 if you love road trips and drive out of town in and around BC, this isn't California and super charge stations are not everywhere.

I have read a lot about Tesla. I would not bank on saving gas money. A recent review of the new super duper ultra fast charger system for Tesla branded charging stations referred to the use charge as about the cost of a tank of gas. Also, the ambient temperature influences distance substantially if the C&D road test in cold weather is correct. Prius has a remarkable track record and has flexible power options. (And NO, I don't own a Toyota or work for Toyota. I am into gear head stuff!)
