Telegram? Is it basically WhatsApp?

What the privacy like? Can someone find out who you are through the app (like a Facebook profile)

I've spent hours on google and haven't really found any solid answers so I'm searching for help!

It's supposedly what Whats App used to be, encrypted and secure. Is it? Well I wouldn't suggest using it to plan a bank job or anything. Is it useful for making plans with girls? Sure, why not? Just be careful as many random scammers from leolist have turned to Telegram and Signal and others because since Meta bought WhatsApp they want more anonymous options. The secret chats feature is more secure. The regular chats can be stored on their servers, according to Google.

What'sApp often links to your phone number, which opens up a can of worms privacy wise.

I find these two are the most private. While I now utilize a booking system to cut down on admin/reception costs and allow clients to book near instantly, I’d recommend either app (though using the burner to access telegram is best).

I'll definitely give that a try and maybe you a try lol!

Just chiming in here. By default, Telegram messages are not 100% private, because they're not encrypted end-to-end. You have to remember to turn it on. Signal is very much security and privacy centric as a company is more secure as data is stored directly on your device vs Telegram its all cloud.

Telegram collects more user data and has previously stated it will share some user data with law enforcement in response to legal requests. It does have more features and a bigger company and widely used world wide.

Signal collects very little metadata and is developed by a nonprofit organization, emphasizing user privacy and security as its core function.

Personally I prefer Signal but far less people use it

I have a lot of my contacts joining Telegram, both genders, young and old. I never thought of them joining for pooning. Regular businesses also use Telegram too, so I think you're safe.

Cant speak for Sp's but safety I have to guess. Having a terrible client come over, so you block them only for them to make a new number and show up again.
