Wow,
I am amazed at the "advice" these posters are giving. "Get out of the business", "Wasting her life", "social programs"...
Jeesh, this is a forum dedicated to the persuit of extra curricular activities for pay. Period. The ladies we frequent are, for the most part, professionals that give good value for service, and the ones we avoid are those that do not. And this forum is to exchange information to find the first and avoid the second.
As to the discussion about safety in the pimp / mp / independent varieties of this business, I've noticed that before this thread, the majority of advice was to go independent, giving the lady full control of her career. Sure, there is a risk involved, but there is risk in walking across the street.
If this young lady is serious about the business, and it sounds like she enjoys the actual work part of it, then she should look to some of the established ladies, and work the way they do. Safety can be found by having a partner, sharing an apartment can save money and add security. It can also help your marketing, and broaden your knowledge and experience. The Kerry/Mandy partnership, even without the apparently mind blowing double team, is a great model for the business.
Most of the independent ladies do a great business, safely. I've only ever heard of one lady being attacked, and it was an avoidable incident that should never have happened. But the "safe" mp's, well, remember the hostage taking incedent that basically ended 205 Alexander? And how does having a pimp protect you? Does he accompany you into the room and guard while you work? Or does he just wait outside to take the moeny? If something were to happen in the room, how would he know and what would he do? A simple call to a friend after arriving, or the arrival at your apartment of your client to confirm everything is OK is a lot safer. And if a "date" sounds like it wouldn't be something you would be comfortable with, take a pass. And make sure your door has a security veiwing device and a good lock. And remember "No means No". 9 times out of 10, a "john" is far more afraid of the cops that the lady...
Clean up, take control, don't let anyone push you around or pressure you into doing things you don't want, be strong and confident, and things will go very well. This is a lucrative and enjoyable business if done right.
