Keeping records, no. See: any prosecution of a sex industry worker from the Mayflower Madam onwards.

Cameras in common areas, not as much a big deal. I get that security of the ladies is a priority, and recording the public areas can be for the ladies security. How often those recording are scrubbed, or if they are recorded on a loop or cloud, definitely a concern. If they are on an air gapped DVR with a 6 hour erase loop, then that's totally fine. Any perps will be on tape for enough time to make a copy for police.

But in reality, I don't think any of the local establishments would have the technical knowledge in house to set up a system like that, or even the desire to.

I get the desire to create a secure environment for clients and providers, and properly done, it can be good for both, but in an industry operating in the gray, I really don't think its going to work.

Again, in a licensed and regulated industry, these kinds of security measures for both parties would be executed better, above board and with both security and confidentiality in mind.

I was thinking of trying but wouldn’t want to have a record there or anywhere for that matter

Like you said safety and security is a priority.
Wpg is feeling like Gotham city sometimes.
Recent thread on 411 documents somebody who did a runner robbery at a vulnerable location.

I dont think anybody legit is out to get other people.
Just have a crumb of protection if something bad happens...

Seems people on this forum think that sws dont deserve any protection. And with the increasing crime rates of Canada as a whole and violence against women I have a firm stance that they should be protected.
The amount of whining on here is astounding as people are acting like they are booking with real names and numbers…
As for the cameras in common areas… your booking with fake names ect. What’s to stop someone from hurting a provider and leaving? No cameras would mean no case?

I seem to have the minority opinion here but they definitely need to have protections in place. Secret hobby or not.

I get this but I feel cameras in common areas are the only thing stopping more people from being sick.

We already book with fake names and numbers. Without cameras there’s nothing to stop us from going in there and doing some despicable things and leaving like nothing happened.

Sadly this is an industry that does well so will always be around yet in a grey area and usually not managed the best.

Bottom line is the women definitely need something for security. We have all the anonymity on our side while they just have to trust? Very one sided imo.

Im aware I’ll prolly be blasted for this view but we need to protect them. Too many wackos and sickos out there.

I understand what you’re saying, and I’m sure many other pooners would agree that SP’s do require a secure working environment. However, there is a certain level of expected risk in this biz, and cameras only help after the fact…rarely even then. This entire industry would cease to exist if it weren’t for anonymity. Recording people’s voices, faces or names breaks code of conduct in this biz, period. There are other ways to protect; Onsite security would be the the absolute most effective way but that requires and extra expense which we all know these “agencies” don’t want to incur.

All about the money and not about the safety of the girls…

Oh yea I agree. Voices should not be recorded.
Onsite security I feel would drive away customers no? Not to mention if there’s a violent assault they have no video evidence to go off so guy gets away Scott free to do again. Police are gonna have to get sketch’s from memory so good luck catching the perp. As well as most spas have 0 male employees from what I’ve seen here and in Alberta. I’d guess the workers preference? It is shitty the few make an issue for the rest of us but I see it as I have 0 bad intentions so I have 0 need to worry. Seems to be the minority view though.
As for names I honestly don’t think it’s an issue. I use a fake one obv but no one’s booking with a full name. I feel like no one’s booking using real names and numbers anyways so it shouldn’t matter? Crazy take?
I highly doubt unless your names Ella or you wronged a sw I doubt they care enough to even try to find out who you are.

This sounds like it was written by an SP.
