I went to see a SP 4 weeks ago. Impeccable hygiene and all services were safe. The next day I was sore down there. Didn't think anything of it. We had an hour long session so I figured I needed time to recover. Next day got worse. 5 days later I have burning while I pee, frequent urination, pain, itching, and urethra swelling. Doctor sent me for a bacteria culture, STI test and another urine test. While waiting for results (took 5 days) my symptoms peaked. I was suffering. Couldn't sleep, couldn't leave the washroom, nearly passed out when I urinated. I went to the ER. Their tests showed nothing wrong with me so they gave me a generic urinary antibiotic while I get my results back from the lab. The antibiotic worked but very slowly.
Test results come back and I'm negative across everything with slightly high white blood cells which means my body is fighting off something down there but no idea what it is. Doctor prescribed me an additional 2 weeks of antibiotics to see if it goes away.
4 weeks since it started I'm still having symptoms. Anyone been through this and can relate? Could it just be an injury down there? Doctor is just as stumped as I am.
