And don't forget about the so called famine created by Stalin in the 1930's. I grew up in Saskatchewan and new a lot of Ukrainian families that got the hell out of there.
They see little difference between Stalin and Putin.
That famine and the deportation of thousands of Ukrainians killed millions of people. And yet nobody has a clue that it happened or that it might have influenced Ukrainians attitudes in the 1930s and 40s.
If you were a Ukrainian and under the Stalin terror you’d be happy to see the Germans attack Russia.
The Ukrainians didn’t fight for Germany, they fought against Russia.
A difference beyond the grasp of most who don’t know the background.

Cannon fodder pretty much sums up the way this war has gone for Ukrainian troops.
Not really.
Putin is fielding poorly trained conscripts who suffer heavy losses in direct combat.
Putin’s advantage is the Russian artillery. Same strategy as WW2. Massive bombardment inflicting casualties and making movements very difficult and dangerous.
Most Ukr casualties are from artillery bombardment, not infantry vs infantry.

Id argue their current airpower advantage is underapreciated. The glide bonbs seem to be doing a number. I wonder what could happen to Moscow if Ukraine were provided glide bombs.

This, plus there were restrictions that the Ukrainians were under when using foreign provided weapons that would not let them use said weapons across into Russia's borders. You know, for fear of instigating and dragging NATO directly into the war. As the war as dragged on and Putin has shown that his only strategy is to double down, these restrictions have been largely lifted. Things are different when your opponent is allowed to slap back.

If you knew anything about Ukraine you’d understand why they fought the Russians.
“The enemy of my enemy is my friend”
Almost everyone from Eastern Europe hates russians, especially those who endured their brutal occupation.

I see people daily who are either from Ukraine or have family there. I have met many who still live there but came to visit.
There is a large Ukrainian diaspora in Manitoba, here is a bilingual school in Dauphin!
Meet the actual people on the ground instead following mass media bs.
OK. I understand why they would hate the Russians. But my statement stands. They worked with the nazis against Russia but also targeted Jews as per instructions. Approximately 1.5 million Jews were slaughtered in Ukraine by both Germans and Ukrainian nationalists. Its also probably why after the 2014 coup that the eastern oblasts tried to withdraw from Ukraine being mainly Russian speaking and knowing what would be in store if they remained in the union with the hatred of them being as you described.
The Russian army was not officially involved in Ukraine although some paramilitary groups were involved in the fighting but once the offer was made for Ukraine to join NATO Putin decided to preempt that by invading before they received NATO membership which would put them at war with the West directly.

This is some information on the fate of Jews in WW2 between 1941 and 1945.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Holocaust_in_Ukraine

Also note that Putin and Zelenskyy had both agreed to a peace negotiation made by Turkish and Jewish negotiators which we broke via Boris Johnston and US interference.

This war never needed to happen. Ukraine could have been left basically intact.

And I should note that Russians were concerned about the nazification of Ukraine as one of the points of contention. Before this war started virtually every story about Ukraine that did not involve Burisma was about the white supremacy movement in Ukraine which were dead set on eliminating Russian speakers from Ukraine. Examples:

And if you watch one of these videos watch this one. It was made back in 2014 and its chilling how much of it has come true. They predicted a wider war occurring as a result of the US inspired coup in 2014.

Which will not happen without World War 3. Are you of draft age? You want to go to the meatgrinder? You have kids? You want them to go? The US is looking at reinstituting the draft. We wouldnt be far behind.
(snip)
It's just about registering for a draft. Essentially the National Defense Authorization Act automatically registers men aged 18 to 26 for selective service rather than having them do it on their own.
"While it hasn’t been invoked in over half a century, it’s mandatory for all male U.S. citizens to register for the selective service, also known as the military draft, when they turn 18. Failure to register is classified as a felony and comes with a host of legal challenges."

But, fear not, due to the massive partisanship:
"The NDAA passed the House in a 217 to 199 vote, but it’s unlikely to be taken up by the Senate."

Source: https://www.foxla.com/news/house-passes-defense-bill-automatically-registering-men-18-26-draft

Now there is a rumor going around that Zelenskyys wife has bought a 4.8 million dollar euro car, a Bugatti Tourbillon and there is a frantic amount of online denial by CNN and others saying this reeks of Russian disinformation.

https://www.cnn.com/2024/07/02/europe/deepfake-video-zelensky-wife-intl-latam/index.html

Now I dont know if this is true or not but to me this has all the earmarks of Hunter Bidens Laptop and we know how that turned out in the end. All that taxpayer money we send over there doesnt seem to be making it to the front lines. Perhaps this is where its ending up. She has gone on some exorbitant shopping binges in Paris.
You went from "Now I dont know if this is true or not" to "She has gone on some exorbitant shopping binges in Paris." all in the same paragraph. I'm guessing you didn't read the content of your own link.

"Bugatti said in a statement on Tuesday that its dealership in Paris, operated by Autofficina Parigi, a Car Lovers Group company, was victim of several criminal offenses and “firmly denounced this disinformation campaign.”
“A supposed salesman claiming to belong to the Car Lovers Group and its sports label Schumacher Group, published a video on social networks in which he indicated that the Bugatti Paris dealership sold a vehicle to the Ukrainian presidential couple,” it said, adding that the group “strongly denies both the existence of the transaction and, consequently, the existence of the invoice.

“The mandatory legal details don’t appear on the invoice, the price of the vehicle is also wrong, the price of the options and their descriptions are inaccurate and inconsistent, the graphics are outdated, and the Car Lovers Group would never have allowed such a document to be issued,” the statement added."

Its about invoking a compulsory draft on those registered. They deny it right now but apparently recruiting has been so bad lately that it may come to pass if an emergency arises...eg WW3 with Russia.

I know exactly what was in the link. I said it was a rumor. I expressed doubt that it was true. She has been on expensive shopping trips to Paris for jewelry and clothes in the past that are validated. Dont see the issue. Everytime something happens in the world now that contradicts what the powers that be want you to believe its always called Russian disinformation. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isnt. Most of the time it turns out it isnt.

Why put it out there then, if not to sow misinformation?

By putting out an article which says that it is misinformation Im sowing misinformation? Is that worse than you putting out a post saying Trump was just "fingered by Ghislaine" with no attempt to source it in the USA Politics thread?

Right, thats why immediatly after the article you post 'Now I dont know if this is true or not but to me this has all the earmarks of Hunter Bidens Laptop and we know how that turned out in the end. .' 🤔.

Don't be coy, i'm calling you out as a propgandist for Russia. It's fine to have that position, just own it.

Also: How did H.B's laptop turn out? Smoking gun connecting him to the big guy, or sextortion attempt? Someone should show naked pics of MTG on the Hill, but no one wants to have to gouge out their own eyes. Time to take out Ivanka and Jared too if this is the game afoot.

Keep in context that Jew hating was almost Europes national sport before and during the War. From Poland to Italy to England (and even Canada), antisemitic acts were rife. Oddly enough Jews had it better in the Muslim counties in this period ,subjectively.

None of that hodgepodge makes any sense.....not that much you post does. Are you a Kick streamer? You seem to have an equivalent IQ.

You have issues reading simple english it seems? Thats like grade 10 english, really.

Pretty clear to me that you posted a propaganda article and 'im not sure if its true' -ed it. Why? You didnt post it as 'look at this fake article', you posted it as ' it could be true' and then tried to backtrack.

Whats your adgenda i doing this? To discredit the gov of Ukraine and spread some more bullshit. You are a Putin propogandist.

Why would all those other Ukrainians other than the Azov sacrifice blood and lives to defend themselves? For fun?

As for claims of antisemitism, the Russians are no better than any European country. Not saying such rasicm isnt vile, but you dont call out any others. Hungary is a good example. Putins so called cause beli for going to war is bullshit.

Yes. One of the most important places that Putin personally instructed me to put propaganda was on the highly politically influencial PERB board in this thread which is being read by zillions of people in North America. Its one of the major thrusts of Putins misinformation campaign.

Look if you cannot understand the comparison I was trying to make in how the term Russian disinformation has become a blanket denial for virtually everything that happens in politics now and you have to wait a while to find out where the truth lies, I cant help you. It sort of went over your head, just like nearly everything else does. In the future I will endeavor to attempt to be less subtle.

What are you trying to pivot to now? You didnt posit anything of the sort, you tried to put it out there as verified and got called on it. You're about as subtle as a drag queen on RPDR. If you were trying to make a point, why 'try' to be 'subtle' anyways? And why throw in that you 'dont know of its true or not' when it says its not true in the article. Thats not subtlety, its stupidity.

Are you saying no disinformation is being pushed by Russia? Its a verified fact it is. And you guys keep parroting that crap about Jews , azov, Nato, etc. If you're so concerned about nazis, why wouldn't you look south? Trump had Nazis over for dinner, supremacists are marching through towns. Some of them are posting on this board.

Spinning, deflecting, questioning the legitimacy of facts and making up your own while accusing others of the same is straight Russian playbook.
