As @Equity Market investor said get educated. The title of you post asks about 'Trading' yet most of your comments are about 'Investing' which are 2 very different strategies and if you mix them up you will go broke
Keystone Financial out of White Rock 🪨 have free podcasts and videos. They’re very good. I subscribe to their paid research too and have followed them for about a quarter of a century…

I started investing in equities ~35 years ago. I made some blunders at the beginning but then discovered divided paying stocks and how to set them to "drip"

Over the years I built up a fair size portfolio with 80% paying a divided which I kept reinvesting in more of the same stock.

I retired a few years ago and turned off the drip and am now earning close to $20k a year in dividend payments.

My only regret was that I wish I had started sooner.

Thank you so very much for your share. DRIPS or Dividend Reinvest Plans are excellent. We’ve been doing BCE Inc. for decades. Dividends can offer excellent income tax benefits too. Some DRIPS used to buy additional shares at a discount to market 🏆

Reinvesting your dividends will pay off in spades in the long run. So many options are available, but again, know what you are buying and make sure the balance sheet is strong.

I had some nice scale trading this week. An example was MFI or Maple 🍁 Leaf Foods on Thursday during the pullback on earnings release. Added another tranche yesterday on its continued pullback. There was strength near the close so I’m hoping my Good Till Canceled partial sell order will be filled first thing Monday Morning 🤓

If you're dealing with the main TSX index for example. Finding great dividend payout shares isn't difficult. Remember, whatever you read about shares, dividend comments etc etc. It's just their opinions. Also, some maybe affiliated / Bias towards the shares they are covering. Whenever you read share price targets all of them are across the board. You'll never have 10 price targets all stating the same price. That is why you'll hear --- do your own D&D. I also found in the past by registering with these free sites. You then get a bunch of spam going along with it. Thanks for the tip either way.

Thanks 🙏🏻 for your thoughtful 🤔 comments. This site is actually quite brilliant, unbiased and fact based. I’ve used it for years successfully. There was one I paid for however it changed ownership and wasn’t as good ever again…

Know what the US Federal Reserve Bank doing. The Fed dual mandate to keep employment up and inflation down. US job numbers unexpectedly good. Expect the Fed to keep fighting inflation with higher interest rates. Higher rates reduce liquidity in the system and drive down stock valuation. Watch for Fed pivot on interest rate to send stock values into the stratosphere, either late '22 or early '23. Cheers.

It’d be wonderful if members could share their successful stock market 📈 trading strategies…

🤓
Current Allocation: 28% Canada; 46% US; 17% International (no China) 9% cash
Up 9.09% since June 30th....am overweight Tech. and Heath care; have 30 stocks incl. 2 flyers ie speculation.
Stocks represent 30% of my portfolio, Real Estate not included. (I am over 60)
Like to hear others allocations and weightings. Also interest rate strategy.

I think Fed will go too slow, especially during next 2-3 months.
Thanks
