Dude that's so sick...I was expecting the real thing. Oh well, like Dubya says..'Fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again'

Good to see he's quoting pedophiles...oops, "researchers"....you can't get fooled again'

While that South Park episode was a parody, the real Crocodile dude did provoke, toy with and often needlessly torment the animals he was filming. He may have been a conversationist, but in the most exploitative way you could think of.

I feel for his family, but something like this was bound to happen eventually.
While Irwin was trained to be around and to handle dangerous wildlife of all sorts, I think that training might have developed into a sense of arrogance for him, in that he was willing to take chances thinking it was all ok since "he knew what he was doing."

I wasn't a big watcher of his program as I saw it as sheer PT Barnum styled showmaship with an ample spreading of "I'm an conservationist" bullshit to cover-up what looked like excessive manhandling of animals. Sure he could have truly believed his schitck, but to me his self-aggrandizement was paramount with his concern for wildlife as secondary.

Honestly the vast amount of outpouring for his death is quite stifling. It's downright politically incorrect to say anything remotely negative about him. A herd mentality I say.

Steve Irwin lived more during his 40+ years than most people do during their entire lives. I give him a lot of credit, and hope that God does too.

I've seen his show many times, it made me nervous just watching him handling snakes and crocodiles. Many times, he was lucky, I thought for sure he would get bitten but to my surprise he didn't. But what's weird is that he died from Sting Ray attack.

What made me more nervous was how he handled his month old son in the crocodile feeding video. I'm not a breeder, but I know that you have to support their neck for the first six months, at least. He had that kid tucked under his arm like a sack of potatoes. Not to mention he was standing on wet cement, which can be as slick as goose shit.

Apparently he put the sting ray in a sandwich between him and the cameraman. It got nervous and reacted accordingly, swinging its tail up and exposing barbs. His death is about as shocking to me as the death of a junkie. They can stick that needle in their arm dozens of times, or a thousand times; but eventually their luck runs out and the house wins.
