the point is china can take a look at your data without court subpoena. Others cannot. so not everyone is protected in china in terms of prosecution.
spy is another say. everything single country is the same on this topic.
If you believe that, I have some good land in Florida to sell you....Jesus ever hear of that Snowden guy. They can look at anything, the subpoena is only a legal trail in the west world.

Put it this way a smart computer nerd will always build 2-3 back doors into the software..... Give his boss 1 and keep the other 2 to himself....

yes heard about that guy. but legality is what makes you civilized. china doesn't care and it's a know secret. this is why some countries still don't trust china on this issue.

Fizz didn't need my 7-11 pin to port my number. I just got a text on my old SIM to confirm porting, and that was more than a month ago.
Oh right, I forgot about Fizz. I just looked it up and they only have one plan for BYOP, which is $35/month. I prefer Chatr due to their yearly plan.

How much was that Chatr yearly plan you got and what's included??🤔

Found this on Freedom, 3 different yearly plans; thinking of $129/yr with talk, text & data🤔

$100/yr Chatr gets you 400 mins Canada-wide talk and 400 text. What I like about Chatr is, they don't ask for ID. Just give any name and email and off you go. You don't need email to activate, it is only used if you want to manage your account online but i'm ok without it. And the talk/text limit are still way above my need.

Am I right in understanding that none of these are anonymous in the sense that you have to pay by credit card even if all your other info is fake? Or can you buy a visa prepaid card or something like that with cash and then use that to pay for the monthly or yearly plan?

I paid for the $100 prepaid and the new phone with cash. No trace other than my fingerprints :)

What a complete clusterf$#& with speakout/good2go mobile to move over to a new provider🤬🤬🤬

Checked out Freedom first for $129/yr and they needed official id to register to transfer over to them🖕 So comes down to Chatr only for $99/yr talk&text, it seems pretty smooth porting my number then paying for the yearly plan and new sim card. Big thanks to EI girl at t-booth(Metropolis)to handle this mess. Waited over 20mins to get the confirmation text to port my number now here's where the problem begins...🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Tried to text speakout/good2go "YES" three times to port my number and found out they unregistered my SIM card before I could answer🤯🤬🤯 Tried calling customer service number in the text, guess what happened not within they're service hours🤡 Had nothing to lose and inserted the new Chatr sim card ...then my previous "YES" texts went through "SUCESSS!!!"🥳🥳🥳number ported and received confirmation text now on Chatr. 🤞End for now🤞

Why are you swiching to different cellphone providers now? Did your speakout services stop working? Mine is still working.

Mine was still working before I switched to Chatr, sooner or later there will be the death of 3G and you will lose your number too. Saw speakout/good2go new plans and they all totally suck🥜 they have nothing like $25 for 365 days of service anymore or anything similar

I just went to a Rogers Store to ask about switching to Chatr. They said, "show id" Which store did you go to?

Actually. I did. I need to find another store it seems.
I was asked for ID at Chatr if I wanted to port my old number. As I don't care about keeping the number, I just said I'd take a new number. They gave me a selection of about six numbers to choose from, and no ID required.

ah. I phoned another store and asked if id was required. They said no. Don't worry about that shit. I didn't venture into asking about keeping my number. It isn't that important to me, but it does throw one of my regulars off. Will deal with it next week.
