Since it`s been brought up in this thread (and sweet merciful fuck has there ever been a lot of spam lately!), I`m personally going to use this thread as a way to report any spam posts that I find as I surf. If we all do the same, then maybe the mods can check this thread for any that they have yet to see and can delete it accordingly. I notice that they`re getting a lot of it but I imagine it must be a damn near full time job for them lately just eradicating all of this shit! Anyway, let the reporting begin:

This is correct. Fred has been working on this problem for awhile now. Due to the extreme numbers of spam handles and volume of postings it is very difficult for us to catch them all. We appreciate your help in keeping this problem at bay. I think MM's idea of postings made directly here is a good one.
I am going to stick this thread until such a time as we manage to solve the problem.

Maybe related.........anybody else have PERB blocked on their PC as unsafe ? I know some have had problems through Telus on their phones, but since this recent flood of spam started I've had it on my PC at home, also on Telus Internet service.

I did have that happen for a couple of nights when I was in Edmonton not to long ago. I have no idea if they used Telus but the issue was only at that hotel and did not occur in Calgary, Saskatoon or Regina. It was only PERB that was blocked not TERB or any other board and it's the only time I have had that issue at that hotel after five or six stays.

I have also stayed places(only once lol) that block any type of explicit web browsing and this was a totally different message. The two nights in Edmonton were as uncleg stated, blocked as unsafe.

By all means post spam links here. Lately spam is a big problem on many forums as these spammers have access to hundreds of thousands of ips ( literally)

While we appreciate the help and the suggestion for this thread if the chatter could be kept to a minimum that would be helpful. Lets try and keep the postings to spam posts or handles. We can deal with the problems from there. Thank you.
