SP I have frequently visited is incarcerated

Some assumptions there. She was actually charged with both second degree murder and manslaughter. So the prosecution felt the charges were warranted. She then pleaded guilty to the lesser charge. That might've easily been a plea deal with the same prosecutor that the judge merely rubber stamped. In any event manslaughter isn't "self defence". It's what you're charged with when you end another life as a result of reckless disregard rather than intent.

After some retrospect, I agree with you, it's not true defense. She definitely deserves to go to jail. Either be the bigger person and walk away from frivolous confrontation or if you're going to beak off to a bigger person, than stand your ground and prepare to fight fairly. To bring a knife into a fistfight just shows she's a frightened person to not accept the consequences that her ass couldn't cash a cheque her mouth just wrote.

Again, hopefully she improves herself and works out whatever insecurities have driven her down this dead end path. There's so much info on her online. Who knows how much is true, but apparently, it isn't the first time she's gone to jail. She had a previous assault conviction when she was a youth. I was definitely thrown off by her cute pixs. But this person could be more Kelly Ellard than just wrong place at wrong time. We'll find out in 5 years if she keeps her nose clean.

An SP I visit occasionally happens to have her incall at the same apt. building as where this homicide took place. She tells me she sometimes have older (more cautious ?) pooners change their mind about coming over when they are told the addr. I would never have guessed if she had not told me and the building and actual apt. appear perfectly safe to me.

Guess some guys get the vibe the place is a crack den? Or maybe they are just paranoid the place is now on police radar.
