Just curious had this ever happen too anyone? I had this happen awhile back and it was annoying. I barely knew this gal and called my cell asking for 200.00.

Couple years back,this special sp that i use to see twice a week over a 7 month period ask me for a loan....I lent her $1300 !!and the next time i phoned the agency to see her,she had quit and moved away....
So i have to agree with Avarice,dont lend them anything !!! No matter how well you know them.... Remember it is a service and not a partnership !!!!

IMO there are two distinct types of SP's when it comes to finances.....the responsible ones who treat this as a business and know how to balance spending and saving and then there's the ones who phone clients in the middle of the night for a $200 loan

I had a SP ask me for a loan (about $20K). She had a chance to buy her dream car at a good price and asked me to help her.
I simply didnt have the money (I'd been spending it on her, she's the only SP I've been seeing for the last year and bit). But if I had the money at the time, I probably would have given it to her.
In retrospect, it's a good thing I didn't. Since then, I've realized that she's unreliable, and irresponsible with her money, and I'm quite sure I'd never have gotten the money back.

I know a retired Sp who asked me for a loan of 2k for study. I know her very well. I asked her to e-mail me her college invoice ,plus she wrote me a promisary note.A few months later ,she showed me her report card in studies. Loans
I met a young lady who I visited regular twice a month. We shared a lot of personal info and over time I helped her out financially. She never asked, but working two jobs and trying to finish school things were tough living on her own. I new that becuase I had also been to her apartment. She actually worked in a MP.
I would help her by tipping double her fees and she always said it was too much. There were times I would take her grocery shopping and even treat her to some nice clothing.
We now are very close , I still help her out from time to time but for the most part, she has made it. Out of the business and working her way along.
I still buy her some extras but for the most part money is spent on fine dining, jewellry for her and birthday & Christmas surprises.
I nevr ever expected to get it back.
So, if you get asked for a loan make a decision, its yours and like family loans if you expect it back without some tension, then don't do it. It's like gambling plan on losing and it won't bother you when it does not come back
