If a working girl needs money that bad, she should just say so.
We watched Babybelle ask for rent money numerous times, and many said it would have been more effective to say

"My furnace is broke/rent is due/car is dead/nana is sick and i must fly to ottawa! I dont have quite enough money! But I do have the energy to become a bit of a rabbit ;) " Offer a discount, tell the truth, and work for it. It will come!
A lady who outright asks a pooner for money w/o services is (the majority of the time) a con and is using her manipulation skills to get what she wants easy. This doesn't count as fair: "gimme 1000 and i will see you for 4 hours in the next 2 weeks"... whats fair is: "I have 5 hours, you have 800 bucks, lets help eachother out!"

Just say no LAG!
(psst there are exceptions to every rule ie: being a close friend to an sp who needs moeny for school etc and is reliable...)

Well said Lisa. KUDOS to you

It was late at night maybe she lost her wallet. Who knows what happened.
Maybe she was at a restaurant, and forgot her wallet, but she didn't want to dine and dash.

I wouldnt lend sp any $$. Especially when they earn more money than i do. There's no excuse for them not too have any money. I dont care if they are in school. They arent workin at mcds and are barely getting by

With how much money SPs make, I am surprised that many of them can't keep their priorities straight. They have a lot of bills on home, car payments, utilities, insurances, school tuitions and most importantly, beauty care. Yet... they go around spending like there is no tomorrow on Name Brand bags, shoes, clothes, exotic travels and many other unnecessary expensive things.

With all the money these SPs make, they are still complaining about having no money.

They don't get paid every two weeks or once a month, they get paid on delivery, so they get accustomed to a steady cash flow. But even a minor disruption in their revenue stream can be a total disaster. I know lots of girls who party away every penny and don't even think about their rent until the day it is due-then they just hope they get a lot of calls that day.
I knew a girl in Calgary who made a couple of thousand a week but could never pay any of her bills on time, though she did pay them.

I know a retired Sp who asked me for a loan of 2k for study. I know her very well. I asked her to e-mail me her college invoice ,plus she wrote me a promisary note.A few months later ,she showed me her report card in studies. It turns out that she is a straight "A" student! Now I am waiting for her to pay me back after she has found a permant full time job!
Are you selling this as an exception to the rule/good news story? Cuz, all that sticks in my head is the last sentence..."waiting for her to pay me back..." Until you're paid back, this picture is just like every other one, despite being in a nicer frame.

This is what you call trust! Am I going to sum people up? No ! At least this particular SP has shown me the effort that she has been studying very hard.
Other SPs might lie to me going to school or attending courses blah, blah blah.... But this sp has shown me her real report cards every term how well she has achieved or should I say genuine report cards. That is why I have given her a chance!

But don't misunderstand me,each case is different. So there is no gurantee who you are helping, no matter she is a sp or not!

Although I do believe many experienced SP's could make a lot of money, I feel this business is like any other, the top 20% make the bigest dollars, leaving the other 80% to struggle getting there. In that 80%, there are fantastic ladies we all see from time to time and if we find a diamond in the rough that matches our needs they could one that is still short on cash.

Every one needs a little help some time. If you are the one to lead a hand it's your decision, but it may help get someone on track.

Ladies - good luck on whatever your dreams are. I hope you all do well, and get where you want to be.

I wouldnt say they are struggling. Dude the other 80% makes decent money working partime. Compared to the avrg pooner on this board these gals are making a killing. I know a few friends who are SP and charge low end pricing and but they are still doin well. It's about how you budget things. Of course if you consider this SP as a friend and you decide too lend the person money it's your choice. But dont expect them too pay it back.

Just Curious

Have any of the blokes ever asked an sp who they visited regularly, "you know things are a bit tight this month, how about I visit you tonight but pay you next month." Kind of a lay away plan.

That's when they tell you to use a credit card. Then you can make monthly installments, on your own credit.

Lurker 123 makes a good point. Regardless of what work a person is involved in, and or how long you may have known them for (or think you may know them), at the end it all really comes down to mainly a matter of Trust. Trust can vary from just using your best intuition or something that you must earn.

Secondly how much can you afford to give if the return of a loan takes longer than agreed to or, worst case scenario, how much can you afford to lose if the loan is never return.

Third, it may not be the money, but you just care and want to help that person get ahead.

Anyway, just my two cent worth, as this is about as much as I can afford to give after taxes presently! BTW Jeeves, please park the jet plane back in the hanger, it's beginning to rain...

I would politely tell her to fuck off since i'm not in the lending business nor is Royal Bank posted on the entrance to my office. If i needed a loan I hit the branch I bank at and sit with the manager and make a loan application, if I need a BBBJ i go to my local (or 10,000 mile away) SP.

We are pooners or mongerers not bankers:rolleyes: I can't imagine what your SP's reaction would be if you walked into her "office" one day and asked to borrow money

Wouldn't it be easier if an SP asked for a loan that you give her some money for services, then she's that much closer to her goal. She can ask someone else for a smaller loan afterwards.
