My brother has herpes. From what I understand, herpes can be transmitted by bbbj, and so far as I know it is not curable. I think there may be drugs that minimize or control the outbreaks, but once you get it, you're stuck with it.
STD herpes is transmitted by surface touch, if the herpes surface area is active... generally noticeable by a group of small blisters or open sores, but may not be noticeable at all.
Frequent locations for STD herpes are the genitals, bum cheeks and lower back. Even hand contact via a massage has the potential to transmit herpes.
Herpes may flare up at any time, and is generally reactive to stress and certain foods containing Argine. Frequency of flare-up often diminishes with time. There are drugs one can take, but the amino acid L-Lysine taken as a daily supplement along with one's daily vitamins & minerals seems to have positive results as well.
I would advise checking with the Health Nurse in the Health Information Forum for answers on STD and safety questions folks may have.
