URL shorteners are quite common. But are they really necessary on Perb? As long as posts don't exceed the Magna Carta we haven't applied size limits. We have a limit on posting non-Perb URL 's though.

We suggest that posters use the long-form, for now. And guess where posters of suspicious or bad links end up?

I was watching a YouTube vid earlier tonight that I found quite amusing and wanted to share with a friend via email. When I hit the "Share" link for the video, the link came up as one of these so-called "shortened" urls. So, it seems that it IS an "official" link thru YouTube's site.
