I don't really know how you guys plan a party or what occassion is worthy of an official perb party but we want one!!! I know there are some boys who must be in the moood for a little dirty dancin and stuff!!!! I know a certain few girls who are in the market for a good party and you all would love what we do when we wanna play!!!

A good Occasion for a Party!
Maybe you could organize a Pre-Xmas Perb bash , might be a good idea
for an excuse to have one.
Possibly a poll type thread for location and date.
P.S. Any chance of letting us in on who the ladies are that might
want to attend.........not that this matters of couse?

The problem with trying to arrange a house party is trying to find someone willing to let a bunch of Perberts, let alone strangers, into their house to party... and lets face it, its gonna be mostly guys that show up. Its one thing when you're in school and you have a house party, or when its a bunch of people from work. This is a totally different dynamic. That's why the parties that we've aranged so far have been at a bar (or hotel suite / penthouse for the invite only ones). Bars tend to be easier to arrange since its "neutral ground", so to speak, there's already music and entertainment... oh yeah... and boozeihatemyskirt said:

I'd love to go to a perb party but have always been concerned about running into someone I know "in the real world".
A place like the Drake would be good as I could check out if there was anyone I didn't want to see before joining the crowd.

I say get a huge suite at Pan Pacific and everyone pay a cover for the booze and strippers. We will have the option on takking a SP to the next room for a special fee..... .
.That sounds like a good idea also. I agree that the option should be there for people to sneak off for fun by the hour!! There needs to be some privacy factor for that part. Who has a 5 bedroom house with a games room, stripper pole and large screen porn sattelite??
Understandable, but look at it this way... if you were to run into someone at the party who you knew from "the real world", what's the worst that can happen?... you're BOTH in the same situation... you BOTH have "dirt" on the other person (if that's how you want to look at it). Most likely, the two of you would share a few laughs and compare notes about who you've seen. And if the person is fairly cool about it, it'll probably be a really good thing you found out (as has happened to me... more than once).Lefty said:

Its not like when we have a party in public we run around half naked.... well.. ok, there was that one time

) lined up and paid for, and then confirm with all the ladies and strippers (who generally charge around $200 to $300 - paid in cash, upfront, of course - for a 20 minute set with maybe a lapdance thrown in) that may or may not want to attend and also try to negotiate your "special rate", pay for the separate "Fun Room" if needed and then try and track down all the guys who say they're going to attend and try to collect the door fee off (which at this point could be as much as $200 or more per guy) them before the event happens so that you're not left with a HUGE bill on your hads and no one at your party....?Think I'm exaggerating?

It worked fine in the past and willl still - dont make it too complicated with rooms and others house ?

That date has been considered, but I believe the New Drake doesn't open until 4pm, perhaps 5pm... at least that's what I remember hearing at their grand opening a lil while back...Avarice said:Ok, how about November 26th. 2 pm at the Drake? Planning for this party has actually been in the works for a little while now. A lot of stuff happens behind the scenes (not that's a BIG shockAvarice said:
) such as trying to co-ordinate dates with people (pooners and SP's) from out of town who have expressed great interest in attending our parties. Also, some people don't want to discuss plans of this nature in the "open" until its either set, or closer to the date... Anyway...
November 26th was being considered, but since it's Grey Cup weekend, and the city will be HUGELY crowded, that date has been passed over, for now...
Here's the date that so far seems to work for the largest number of people...
Saturday, December 10th, Mid-afternoon...
venue is still TBA, but has been narrowed down to either
The Cecil - usually great line-up, almost always great service, open earlier in the day, but seating for more that like... 12 or 14, can be a bit spread out.
The Drake - new ownership, larger venue, historical importance, however it does open later in the day (will be confirming exact times later tonight)..
So... there it is...
