Social distancing fines should be steeper. People are just stupid and there are many who are not following the rules and endangering others.

Runners especially.

Those so called officials better be walking far apart, not touching anything, and not getting within at least 6 feet of anyone.
And statements like this are why BC has 1410 cases and 55 deaths, and Manitoba has 210 and 4 deaths. If your following the rules you don't have to worry about fines. Why is there always one or two that have to buck the system.

Think about how close you have to be to someone, to give them a ticket.
Better write themselves a ticket while they are at it. If they ask for ID just cough a lot on it, before handing it to the douche bag.
What kind of an asshole piece of shit are you? These people are putting themselves at risk in order to make the world a better/safer place and all you can think of is ways to beat the system. WAKE THE FUCK UP - you and the rest of us ARE the system.

People are just stupid and there are so many selfish ignorant jerks who are not following the rules and endangering others..
We have a conspiracy nut at work.

There was a small asian woman wearing a mask. He goes up to her, literally a foot away, and starts badgering her about how the virus is a hoax.
She told him to get away and backed up and he kept getting right in her face.

So what would you guys recommend?
I wanted to smack him, or fire him. It's a huge liability concern for the company but he's in another manager's group.

Go for it.
Really. Be sure to lecture the judge when it comes to court.

Runners especially need to be fined systematically. Also unreasonable and rude people in the stores. For example the other day a women just jumped the queue in front of me while I was keeping the distance.
Why do runners need to be fined? We are allowed to go outside to get exercise as long as we are practicing social distancing.

Running in a wind tunnel for research you can see the droplets every breath and unless the distance is 50M or a minute apart no way risk running near others. Seawall? At least it’s one direction like ever store should be with markers. BC Ferries running full capacity. People do NOT care. I have three immediate First Line health care workers in the family and they are beyond alarmed at people disregarding Ditector of Health measures. STAY at home, or near your home, if you care about others. THANKS
*Spain has 12,000 HCW infected and dying because of overexposure.

Bonnie Henry encourages people to get outside for fresh air and exercise as long as we make sure to do it while social distancing. And I'm continuing to run regularily under the advice of my rheumatologist.

Thats a Worksafe BC violation. Give them a call and explain the situation. They will help you take the appropriate action and cover your ass at the same time.

YES run for sure, BUT people don’t understand the science of droplets especially under activity... watch a video of a runner in a wind tunnel. Now picture that tunnel outside with others moving into it. Safe distancing sure. Dr Henry and Tam are now just coming around to face masks in public...to stop transfer. OK, so if our govt had kept stock and mandated everyone outside their house must ALWAYS wear a mask, hmmm no more transfer, hence no more infection. Taiwan and SKorea. Nope not in canada “you can’t make me”. i’ve got way to many front line family members in hospitals and corrections to be happy with peoples “rights” to inundate their lives with COVID.

That is grounds for dismissal where I work. I hope you reported it to your manager and informed his manager. I hope she also lodged a complaint as well. I would not have been able to restrain myself, and think I would have come up behind him and launched the hardest kick I could between his legs. Of course I would have been fired too and likely charged with assault, but some actions are worth the fallout.

Because the huge majority of them do not practice distancing. Most of them are passing the people very close, much closer than 2m i.e. endangering others who just walk around.

LMAO.
Who runs in a wind tunnel?
I run most days, and at the speeds I run there are no droplets flying back 50 Meters.
I guess if I wasn't so slow, and could run at 170 kms/hr it might be a concern.
I'm still laughing...

Courts will be closed past the allowed dispute period.
It will be extended, just like say the income tax deadline was.
It is a simple matter of law, or the fines could simply all just be cancelled.

Ps. Courts are still open, I attended court a few days ago.

Kick him in the balls, if you can do that he's breaking the 6 foot rule and has been looked after in a proper manner.

Silly man, obviously a study for droplets from runners would be done while the runner is on a treadmill, and the wind tunnel set to speed that matches the running speed, plus or minus the speed of head/tail wind the researchers want to simulate.

Talk to HR. If your company don't have HR, talk to your manager.
