none of it would have happened if she wasn't going 28km/hr. over the speed limit. that's considered excessive speeding and asking for trouble. if that's her driving style it's amazing she hadn't been pulled over before. for the most part the states has higher speed limits so you really have to be giving it to get a ticket down there, unlike canada where speed limits are kept artificially low to get all that ticket revenue (which the NDP is now taking away from municipalities). i live right on the border so head down regularly. speed limit most of the way is 70mph. most i will do is 75mph which is a comfortable 120km/hr. never had a problem and see the white state patrol cars sitting there all the time. one place you have to be really careful cuz they are sneaky is just after crossing at 176th into blaine. when you first come out of the crossing the limit is 25mph until you get past the burger king, then it goes upto 40. the blaine cop will sit at the first intersection and nab people who go 40 right away.
