And this applies to more than one SP's on this very board. It is especially relevant when contacting the SP for the first time. A fellow gathers the bravery to introduce himself, waits patiently for a reply and nothing. It's just common courtesy really. If a man were to offer a girl a drink at the bar, there is a big difference between a lady politely declining versus turning around and walking away as if he didn't exist.

That customer initially ignored by the SP after first contact could have been the bread and butter repeater in tougher times. But, I guess she will never know. It is basic business skills really, but also basic manners and life skills.

To be clear, I am referring to emails, texts or PM's. If too busy at that time, at least acknowledge the communication eventually. Even if it is passed the desired booking time.

In any other business, you would be absolutely correct, but this is not just any other business. If quite some time has gone by between an email being sent and my receipt of it (particularly if the desired booking time has passed), I am not going to send a reply. Not because I lack "basic manners and life skills," but because I actually possess them. My #2 rule (#1 being safety) is discretion. A wayward e-mail or text from an escort at the wrong time can have dire consequences for someone. If a requested time has gone by, or more than a day or two, my assumption is that a message from me is not expected.

Sure, there are some existing clients I know I can contact without worry, but with the initial few e-mails, I have know way of knowing this. And I never send a text message without explicit assurance that it is okay at that exact moment, since that can much more easily go awry. Maybe I inadvertently hurt someone's feelings, but the pain is far less than that would be caused by a break-up/divorce or firing that could happen if an unanticipated message were intercepted by the wrong person. And the potential gain to my business that I might get by sending it out is just not worth the risk, so I'll take the hit.

But have they ever considered guys are trying to read between the lines. Get a feel for the girl what her attititude is.

Sometimes I have thrown something out there just to see what happens.
Like use a bad word. In a correct context, just to see if she like has a bird or whatever.

I have actually asked questions I have known the answer to like rates, because sometimes the lady will have different rates posted in different places.

In the end I just want to hear the ladies thoughts, and try to get a read on her, is she like this little bimbo spoiled little brat or this stuck up bitch.

Another tip for keeping busy all year round is to respond to all phone/text/PM/email inquiries no matter how busy you already are. If I can't see clients when they contact me the first time, I always respond and invite them to try again another day. They just might be the clients who call again when business is slow, and I find that almost everyone does try to book with me again.

In my biz I get extremely busy at times and feel like I am juggling 12 boiling pots of water all at once. I always respond to each phone call, text, email, fax what ever had you to tell them I will respond in a timely manner but am unable to assist them at this moment. Doing this has made me a bit of a resource in my my industry. I get called first usually and if I am unable to supply the product they are seeking, I steer them towards the vendor who can help them out.

With SP's its the baseball rule with me - three strikes you are out. If I call, email, text etc 3X and don't hear back over say a weeks or so time period; then I basically write them off as someone I want to see. I did have a SP write me about a month or so after my enquiry explaining there were extenuating circumstances preventing her from working so I booked an appointment with her and it turned out to be quite enjoyable.

But I think if I am a guy waiting for a email reply, and I have no history with that sp.
I am not going to wait very long.
Why should I she could just be ignoring me and not be even polite enough to tell me to go and fuck myself.

When times are good it seems the prices climb and no one complains but if times are tough as they appear now business will decline. There are some other good reasons outlined in this thread but sometimes it simply comes down to disposable income. No matter how great the girl is and how well you are treated sadly there just may not be extra cash to spend.

Times are tough, lots of businesses are cutting rates and offering specials to entice spending. I know for a fact a number of very nice Ladies in Alberta are experiencing declining business and have lowered their rates. Just last week I seen a lady and she cut her rate significantly from $$.8 to $$.2. I never negotiate the rate, she emailed me her special and said it was for returning clients and it worked for me as I did not plan on a visit but sometimes things are too good to pass up.
