In the past when men were hiring, they might have been motivated to hire attractive young women over their less attractive candidates. Obviously this did not mean that every time a man hired an attractive young woman that he would end up sexually harassing her, but perhaps somewhere in the back of his mind he thought "you never know, something 'good' might happen with this hot young thing". Now, with all these sexuall harrassment stories coming out in the news, perhaps men will start hiring women they are not attracted to or even avoid hiring women at all by hiring men instead to avoid any possibility of getting into trouble. This could be good news for less attractive/older women and/or men competing for the same jobs as attractive women.

Depends on what the job is. Welders, I could give a shit what age the person is or what they look like. What counts is their welding ability, how up to date they are with techniques and how well they work with the rest of the team. Receptionist, people yell less at a young pretty receptionist. Just a fact. Sometimes she has to make them wait or can't give them what they want right away and angry people yelling doesn't improve the environment. Driver, please just don't hit anything or take long side trips to help your sibling move.
If people want to "hook up" away from work - ie, meet for drinks or a meal - none of my business. If people can't understand that work is for work and keep "hitting" on their fellow employees - then they aren't working and may cost me a good employee. Employers aren't running dating services.
What a lot of men don't seem to understand is that no woman is obliged to a man just because he likes her. If she says no - accept that she's not into you and move on. If she says that she doesn't want to see you again after a first or second date - move on. I really get tired of hearing about men that love a woman so much that they just had to stalk, rape or kill her.
