So where's the appeal in dating someone like that? and yet she doesn't consider herself a gold-digger? What about the other aspects of a relationship? Interesting story but not surprising. Out of the ladies here on PERB who've retired over the years I can only think of maybe two or three that made it out of the biz for good. Even the ones who seemingly found something you thought was a good life ended back in the sex trade. Svetlana is cold. I felt the article was a cry for help, love and affection. A very intelligent business person she was and managed to maximize on her investments. I do believe that her success only represents a small minority of SPs. Really, how many guys out there have limitless bank accounts and could spend that kind of money that the other 99% of society can only dream about. She claimed that she didn't hate men, but IMHO, she has very little respect for them. Everyone measures their level of happiness differently, but this story reaffirmed the cliche that money doesn't buy happiness, at least in this case.

I've met a lot of women very much like her. It's not so much that she doesn't respect men, it's more like she sees everyone as someone to exploit. Every interaction is a win/loss, they never relax and have fun with friends. She said herself she could not relax and enjoy a nice meal because that was billable hours wasted. All she cares about is money.

After reading that I will take a few months off pooning. Pretty depressing reading about such mindless greedy people.

Hell, I was thinking of giving it up all together. Maybe the bulk of her clients were pathetic shallow individuals, but to blanket all men into two or three categories..... Who is the shallow one?
Men seek out escorts for a variety of reasons, many of which may be shallow in nature, but believe it or not, men actually have something in the way of feelings as well. I would say that most of what she says about the business is how it is. But, it sounds like she has significant personal issues though, particularly with regards to relationships, and it didn't start when she began escorting either. When she starts talking about her attitudes to personal relationships she starts to sound like a sociopath. She has family as a long term goal, but if she can't love and give of herself selflessly, what sort of relationship does she think she will have with her partner and her children?
