Searching threads and showing newest post at the top

Can't find these two things on the new site, though I had it set to show the newest post at the top on the old site. Can anyone help?

Yes please, the search result is so hard to weave through.

People won't use this site unless this works.

Unfortunately there is no option for this anymore. You can click the “jump to new” button at the top and it will take you to the last post in the thread you are viewing.

If you have viewed the thread before, it should automatically take you to where you left off.

There is a setting in your profile under Preferences for search results. Mine was set to "default search" Other options are "by date", or "by relevance". I set it to "by date" and now the posts in the forums show according to most recent and search results behave the same way.
