It’s me again!

Some of you that are new might be confused/worried about certain practices and wondering if you’re about to get scammed. Please keep in mind that before trusting anything or anyone, you should always do a research and confirm that the SP is who they say they are, that they exist and that there wasn’t any incident of scamming reported.

“She asked me to send her a Uber gift card for her transportation to my place”
Standard practice. Our main concern when accepting an outcall booking, after safety, is to show up to the address and being ghosted. To avoid this situation happening, we often ask for a gift card, some ask for a etransfer to make sure the person is serious.

“She asked me to pay for the full session with a xyz gift card prior to meeting”
It definitely sounds like a scam, chances are the person will block you and never answer your text messages/emails.

“I texted her that I had arrived at the address, she told me the door was unlocked and to just let myself in”
Unless you know the person, that you’ve read online that it was normal with her, I would advise not to walk in. While it is not a scam, it could be a trap. Someone other than the person on the photo could be waiting for you in the apartment.

“She only texted me a street corner and no exact address”
Standard practice. Imagine if we just have our address to anyone messaging us without any proofs they’re serious about coming to see us.

“I gave her the cash in hand and she stepped out to go somewhere else”
It could be a scam. She might have stepped out to give the money to someone else, in that case many times a “boyfriend” will show up and ask you to leave. In some cases it could just be that she doesn’t trust you and just wanted to hide the money (people wouldn’t usually show you where tho so refer to first possibility)

“I gave her the cash in hand and she asked me to shower”
Standard practice but could also be a scam. A lot of us will ask you to shower so that we can hide the money without you knowing where it is. It could sometimes be a situation similar to the one above, a “boyfriend” might wait for you when you get out of the shower.

“She gave me the address, I texted her that I was there. She asked me to e-transfer the full amount and that she’ll come down to open the door”
It’s a scam. She’s never going to come down and pick you up. She probably gave you a random address.

“She gave me the address, I texted her that I was there and she asked me for a photo of the building”
Standard practice. Some providers just want to make sure that you really are there and that you’re not just collecting addresses.

Re specific address, the indiscretions of members is disappointing. Names of hotels and apartments are often posted, and guys ask via pm.
There have been guys stalking touring ladies, not just sitting in parking lots but sitting in lobbies.
Ironic that the ones who whine about discretion when it’s deposit time have no regard for women’s safety and privacy.

It's a pet peeve of mine when guys lie about being at the buzzer and show up even 10min later, clearly not having been at the buzzer when they had said. Address collecting is a real issue on top of stalking. I'm not the only one who uses the incall either, so it can be dangerous for the others too.

Huge invasion of privacy by those asking to receive full addresses and also by those who decide it's okay to share with other people, especially when unit numbers are involved. If you wouldn't give away the address of your lady friends to random guys on the street, why would one give it away for an anonymous online user? I'm not shocked, but I'm saddened 💔 Should be made against the rules for clients to share something as precise as the street number with the street name when it isn't public knowledge.

Why would guys do this, is there any reasoning?

For the former, clients likely would rather not stand at the buzzer idly without a buzzer number. At the very least, it feels awkward. At the most, they feel like some suspicious person 😅 I've added to my protocol to let them know they are they arrive only up to 5min prior to the session start time.

As for the latter, it depends on intent, but it's uncomfortable as a provider for people to be doing this regardless. Big yikes to me. I'm very clear with my clients when they will receive the address, buzzer, and unit number, but I cannot assume that everyone else does the same. At the most innocent, clients are nervous and want to know every scrap of information possible before even deciding to book. At worst, they aren't even trying to book and have other unexpected and potentially unsavoury intentions. Only the people who DM or share addresses can really answer for themselves. It would be case-by-case 🤷

1: these creeps would not be asking if they weren’t getting answers
2: creepy that they even ask in the first place

Anytime I am messaging a provider I have not seen before, I ask for the general area of the incall. That way I can determine if it’s in an area that can compromise my privacy and also to plan my route as well as parking.

NEVER do I ask for the full address prior to booking and NEVER do I ask for the buzzer, floor and room number until I’ve arrived. Treat these ladies as you would expect to treated and not just a service.

This is all reasonable. Shitty thing is some provider get standoffish if you're unable to book when it turns out to be an unideal location or if it's one that may compromise your privacy. They then accuse you of wasting their time, which really the feeling is mutual... cause if I have to ask for info which should be available in the ad then I'm also having my time wasted.

I'm always surprised when you initially text to ask for general menu information, and they automatically send their street address info, before even agreeing on anything. I'm sure generally people don't do much with the info unless they book, but it still seems like potentially a bad idea.

People that are too fast to send their full address are suspicious unless they work out of a parlour or agency with security. Even then…

I had always assumed the MO would be to be given the menu, pricing and general area cross streets for confirmation of proximity to suitable parking and discretion, then once the booking time was confirmed to touch base via text when in the general area, thereafter to be given the specifics that would result in actual meeting, unit number etc. I only had limited exposure to SP's outside of Swan Lake,.. prior to finding Perb and doing research, so I guess my experience is minimal. After finding Perb I wouldn't be inclined to do any booking without confirmation through Perb that the SP was legit. Excellent info on the red flags for Scammers though.

An interesting tidbit is that it is not illegal for a person to place an ad, ask for a deposit, and then not deliver the goods.

I'm thinking of getting into this business as a side hustle, because so many men are stupid enough to send money to strangers.

I don't understand why there are any legitimate SPs left, because scamming men with LL ads is a much easier and more profitable way to earn a living.

Probably because there are so many scams there already

It doesn’t pay as much as being an honest SP and also not everyone is a bum.
Don't be so sure. A scammer can place the same ad in as many cities as he wants. And just sit back and collect deposits from suckers.

It only takes a few bums to ruin the soup.

I find it disconcerting to think that there are enough people that fall for scamming to provide a lucrative lifestyle for bottom feeders.
I believe in Karma, and have to think that acting in this manner would be extremely negative for anyone that engaged in such activities.
Yet another reason to appreciate SPs that provide great service for reasonable consideration.
Perb can be a great equalizer.. after all, if you do your due diligence and research before taking any action, you can avoid the scammers and reward the well reviewed SP's.
