For a scalp massage, try Jacks on Cambie. close to 17th and Cambie.

Get the MVP Service. Its a BarberShop staffed by an all female staff.

Don't know about where, but some Aveda Salons have a light scalp massage as well as a sort of mini facial massage with hot towel.

Those scalp massages are bad for my wallet. Every time I get one from those Vietnamese places with those young ladies I seem to not handle it and go see a SP hours later. I say no more from now on.

I used to get a scalp massage from Crystal at Ricci Hair downtown. It was included in the price of the haircut and the price was reasonable. This was about five years ago, no idea if the place is still there or what happened to her.

This is a great thing to experience but no one seems to offer it.

In Edmonton there used to be a place on Whyte Ave called Rednecks which was a barber shop/salon for guys. There was one fellow there who would give me a temple massage after rinsing my hair. Not really as gay as it sounds.

Unfortunately hair is an issue with me as well.

C'est la vie.

I live in the St. Albert area and the barbers all seem to be male Lebanese guys. There are a few female barbers that I go to (say if one is busy, I go to the other) but the problem is that I end up listening to a bunch of new age psychobabble. There are nice people however I just do not like hearing about such nonsense about astrology or herbal cures or whatever.

If they still do them MrIncredible is right. Aveda salons do an amazing aromatherapy scalp massage that takes a good 30-45 minutes. I know there's an Aveda salon on 10th Ave @ Discovery (ish) called Eliane's and they used to provide that service.

try suzuki's hair saloon (604) 685-0331 @ Waterfront Centre. mr suzuki gave the best scalp/ head (haha) and shoulder massage and awesome haircuts.

the other ladies there also give scalp massages, but IMO, not as good as the boss.

kim is a vietnamese hairdresser who will cut your hair, ask ying to give you a scalp massage for $10 tip....

I agree, its a great soother
