"The world's dirtiest man"

....is a program I am watching right now. The congenial host of the show allows a doctor to document all the bacteria living in his body and in his home.

They showed, with a special black light, all the bacteria that become airborne when we flush our toilets...particles can land up to 10 feet away....

Then...they had a nematode specialist pick worms out of fresh fish destined to become sushi....they laid the fish on a light bed and you could just make out the small shadows where the worms were residing..apparently, freezing the fish will kill most nematodes

anyway...onto the good stuff...

He compared a sample slide of the host's saliva and the saliva of a dog. The host's saliva had a bacteria count, that, if it were on a kitchen plate would cause it to be 'dangerous' to one's health.

The dog's saliva was about 40% healthier...(at that point they did a close up of the dog 'cleaning' special parts)...hmmmm.....gotta wonder what the host has been licking?

Just makes ya wanna run out and swap spit eh?

i watched a show once where they coated a raw whole fryer chicken in a liquid that was flourescent under uv light, then the cook cut it up, dipped it, breaded it and cooked it. after she dropped it into the oil, and the uv light was turned on, you could see the entire prep area was 'contaminated' with the flourescent liquid. this was meant to show the potential for spreading salmonella around the kitchen. then they did it all over again except with the uv light on the entire time so you could watch how each movement spread the 'salmonella' bacteria - kinda scarey stuff
