Rypien's suspension is all Luongo's fault

When he was given a game suspension and thrown out of the game, Lu had already let in 5 goals on about 15 shots. fans were naturally chirping at him already with the lopsided score. Would he have chirped back at them or tried to go after the one fan if the score was 5-0 in favour of the Canucks? I doubt so. Not even if it was a close game. When Minny fans tell u your goalie sucks and he could'nt stop a balloon it hurts when the scoreboard reads 5-0. At that stage, there is nothing to lose. Lu should have manned up after the game and say that Rypien's suspension is on him. If he had played better, Rypien's mindset would have been totally different, and he would not have been so easily baited by that fan.

Sorry but this sounds like a pretty lame excuse to criticize Luongo. Do we blame the coach too for putting Rypien into the lineup? How about blaming his parents for not teaching him more restraint? The only person that can be blamed for Rypien's actions is Rypien.

Then why don't we see this more in sports?
Players in every sport get yelled at by opposition fans.
And I am sure lots of them use very nasty filthy language.
But in all sports, the players rarely will do something like this.
They should be able to handle someone calling them a fag.

I think the guy has a lot going on outside hockey.
