There is an affliction some are seeming to suffer from these days on the board. We are seeing the same BS posted about certain providers, every time they are mentioned. Someone has a drug problem, Someone used to be a guy, someone is providing BBFS, yet another is part of a sex trafficking ring. The themes can change from time to time, but it's always something nasty and it's almost always without any kind of backup.
The thing is, there's never any proof provided or even a reputable source. It's always, I heard that or a friend told me or other such qualifier. Worst are those misguided guys who even start their post with "this might not be true but" and then go ahead and post something that's incorrect, homo/transphobic or slanderous.
People, these ladies are paying their bills, in some cases raising kids or supporting family, and for the most part really good people. There are always a few bad apples, we uncovered one this week who clearly ripped a guy off. When we see the proof, it can be posted, with moderators often taking the steps to confirm it publicly to put the rumors to rest or to confirm they are factual. If you are unsure, PM a mod, before you post.
We are going to have to start cracking down even harder on these kinds of posts if this trend doesn't stop. We have rules against posting 3rd party information. If you are tempted to post something you heard, keep your mouth shut unless you interacted with the SP or actually saw them. If you are tempted to post something that sounds scandalous and sensational, you better be ready to provide your proof when the mods ask, or you are going to end up with a lengthy stay in Perbatory. And the proof better not be that you heard a rumor at the bar, or at the gym or worse, from another SP who may or may not have a grudge of their own at play.
Lastly, if what you are saying is racist, misogynist, homophobic or transphobic, the bans will start at 3 months and if you have a track record in Perbatory already, even longer. We hope this is clear enough guidance, please PM a mod with any questions. We are not going to debate the merit of the rules, so if you think the whole thing is unfair and you should be able to post whatever you want, whenever you want, you really shouldn't bother.
