probably the only movie so far this summer that has interested me remotely. the summer is already a bomb. seriously jim carrey fondling penguins is supposed to get me excited? the zookeeper, with kevin james, well that just screams must see. bad teacher. gimme a break. tom hanks falling for julia roberts. yawn.

Didn't they do an Apes remake about 10 years ago already? It had Wahlberg in it, and it sucked like a toothless whore. Hollywood definitely must be completely bereft of ideas.

Such a great and smart script. Found it quite boring in the start but once the revolution of the Apes start, the movie starts rockin' and rollin', you will hang on to your seats.

Saw it this afternoon and while not a great film, definitely worth seeing. I wish more time was spent with the apes and the aftermath of the conflict.

A bunch of monkeys with spears take over the world?

Doesn't say much for the capabilities of modern armies and weapons technology.

It's all the fault of the Greenpeacers, PETA and the like......................:D

Spank the monkey, but don't hurt him..........:eyebrows:

I don't know why, but for some reason I find watching apes overwhelm us and take over our planet is far less appealing than watching it done by transforming robots or aliens.

Yups! It does feel quite awkward imagining a different kind of Banana Republic even if its just in the movies.

That's because we know we are responsible for a lot of crimes against animals. And we know we deserve some payback. The thought of animals becoming man-like and able to fight back is terrifying ... they would win because they would have so much passionate hate fueling the fire.

An interesting concept, animals hating. I wonder, can an animal actually hate ?
