My fellow Perbites,

I've been wondering, can RCMPs or any other LE agencies use the reviews we post as evidence against us? I've been wondering about this for quite some time now.

Evidence of committing no crime whatsoever? Other than street action, which is no spoken much around here, there's no crime being done here. This is the second or third post on this topic in the past few weeks, I am starting to wonder if people just aren't doing any homework at all, or if we have a new batch of total newbies who don't bother to look around.

Incall, not illegal for you as a pooner. Outcall, not illegal for you as a pooner. Depending on the city and the bylaws, might be dicey for the lady, if she needs a licence etc. So long as you don't approach a street walker in public, you are golden.
My bad. I will for sure do more research in the future when I have questions like this.

If someone admitted to committing a crime by posting about it in a review, I think it could be used as evidence. Guys post all kinds of random details about events that happen during sessions - robbery, assault, racism, etc. ...
and don't forget illegal drug use... just sayin' :)

I seriously doubt that anything posted would be enough evidence to convict a person, even if you admit to doing something wrong. The prosecution is going to need a lot more than someone's posting on a website.

Don’t worry about it, I also got some snarky comments about doing my homework when I first joined and asked.
I can understand why you may be confused with parts like “Communicating in Public” not applying to Posting in Perb, a seemingly “Public” medium for “Communication” or an SP’s website “Communicating” things like donation and menu as it can also be viewed by the “Public” (that one really baked my noodle).

I just figured that since I was new and the other members already possessed that information, why not just ask.
What was I thinking?

It’s hard to find the time to find and navigate through all of the relevant laws after reading and of course memorizing everything ever printed, including the 2pt font about such things as:

Car Insurance
Home Insurance
Health Insurance
Extended Health Insurance
Constitution Act
Every Federal Law
Every Provincial Law
Every Bylaw in your city
Every Invasive plant that you are obligated to remove
B.C. Labour code
B.C. Tenancy Act
B.C. School Act
Personal Tax deductions
Corporate Tax deductions
Charitable Tax deductions
NAFTA
Dealer certified vehicle maintenance for your warranty
Manufacturers vs. Extended warranties
Local warranties
Global warranties
Every TOS of anything you’ve used on the web

So don’t worry about it, and if you ever get through the above list of light night time reading, let me know, I’ll have some questions for you. ;)
You forgot EULAs, unless that was covered by "Every TOS of anything you’ve used on the web", of course. :D

On US boards, many guys who post reviews say they just dreamt they had an encounter with a SP. It's ridiculous even there, since an anonymous post on an internet bulletin board can easliy be dismissed by the defence as fantasy. At the very least, an overzealous prosecutor would still have to prove the encounter really took place and that money changed hands.

i imagine that members of police, rcmp, senate, legislature, translink, etc etc use erotic review boards the same way as so many others: to find a quality sp.

This article mentions LE using reviews as evidence in the USA - where prostitution is illegal.

The U.S. Attorney's case will include erotic reviews written by men who allegedly paid Aphrodite girls thousands of dollars for sex. One review, dated in April, posted by someone calling himself "Dirtymidget," said, "She opened her door to her private apartment, greeted me with a DFK (deep French kiss) and then led me to the shower." He continues to describe, in great detail, various sexual acts performed during the encounter.

This case is problematic in that developing Internet-based technology creates a scenario that the law is not designed to address. In other words, here we have a case where an otherwise lawful Internet-based business may have provided an environment for unknown and disconnected illegal conduct.

You forget the source material is CNBC.

You're safe.

There have been occasions when a poster has waxed poetically about going on sex trips and visiting what he referred to as "young girls" in Asia. I think that he possibly put himself in jeopardy of an investigation although chances may be long that such statements would lead to that action. In any case, it would not be advisable to post about potential crimes one may have committed.

Most of these sites are all blocked from any type of government agencies even viewing them because their software is programmed not to allow adult content. Heck some of them are even touch and go about social media sites and most of the escort ad sites are blocked even at some of the supposed family based restaurants like McDonalds.

Did everyone get paranoid over the summer?

BC is the EASIEST province to have this hobby/work experience in .. Alberta and so on not so much at all, this is why ladies are more prone to do ref checks in Alberta, than they are in BC (a lot still do) but not as much as in Alberta and heading east. Laws are much more stricter and best to really not risk it and see reviewed ladies and gents with reviews or references from other ladies.

Really depends on what type of ladies you're seeing and where .. MP's are a lot easier.

And the members of the police, rcmp etc. would have to view sites like this on their personal computers NOT work computers or they would get fired or penalized if they can even access them. When a whole bunch of rcmp officers were charged with looking at porn at work (quite a few years ago), they revamped the whole entire system. Everything they do is logged into a network of what sites they are viewing, how long they were on them etc.

The officers I've met seem to have a genuine interest in learning about review boards, and I'll bet all of them have personal computers at home.

Lots of Vice units with access to the boards, as evidenced by the Saskatoon Police Service here earlier this year.
Sarah do you just love to argue with people? Please quit trolling me, it's pathetic and this is like the 5th time I've asked you to do that!

Learn to respect people's boundaries!

Hmm maybe I could possibly have coded some of those programs, did you ever think of that? Now put me on block and quit trolling me, you whine when people do it to you!

About two years ago had an experience at the Vancouver airport where I accidentally bumped into a gal who did cam stuff out of Los Angeles. We ended up in an animated conversation and on the same plane to Alberta. We met the next night as planned, spent the whole night together, fantastic evening for both of us. But during the conversation I warned her about the illegal issues she could have doing what she is in the US. We kept in touch. She claimed she was leaving the US and returning to Calgary. ABout the time she was to go back there, she suddenly disappeared! In the description I had given on PERB someone recognized her and offered up a picture and data on PErb. I was horrified at the lack of regard for this gal's legal situation. US Immigration could have used the picture and etc to nab her! did they? Well, her disappearance was so sudden I would have though so. Never will know likely. but still that question.

This is a good point. Photo screening is much easier now. It wouldn't be beyond possibility for a legal body, RCMP or US Immigration to be using pictures and comparing faces on passports looking for parties of interest. Isn't that how a lot of the stanely cup rioters were caught?

show your face with care, there is more to it.
