Like many others in Vancouver, I went to see Madonna last night.
I have been a fan since I was a child, and have seen her in concert before.
This show was incredible.. there were some cool special effects, and she looked great. I liked the athletic theme she had going.
One can only hope to look that good at 50 years old! (she may have had some botox here and there) She has had a life time of fitness, and healthy living, and it has paid off.
For a few years, her live singing voice was poor, but last night, her voice was great.
I have to say I was a little disappointed that she did not perform an encore, and she did not sing Holiday, as she has always done on her tours.
I'm not so sure she enjoyed Vancouver, and I doubt she will return.
I know that she was pissed off that people around the stage were smoking, and that she could see the clock display.
For the first 2 songs, she tried to get people to sing along... but it took a little longer for the crowd to get into things. I have a feeling that the concert was livelier at bigger cities around the world.
I also noticed that there was minimal audience interaction. She usually talks to the audience more.
All the same, it was an awesome experience to watch an idol live after all these years!
This rave is kind of long... but if there are Madonna fans on PERB then you can appreciate the discussion
