WWE Summerslam from Toronto was awesome, the Randy Orton vs Chris Beniot match was the best, Randy hits the RKO on Beniot and wins the World Heavyweight title and becomes the youngest World Champion ever at 24 years old. The Kurt Angle vs Eddie Gurrerro match was second as Angle won with the ankle lock submission, the Eugene vs Triple H match was ok till Ric Flair showed up and ruined the match which Triple H won, the WWE Heavyweight Championship match between Champ JBL and The Undertaker was good despite the bullshit DQ finish, which Bradshaw won. John Cena also beat Booker T. But the night belonged to Randy Orton the new World Heavyweight Champion, Raw should be intresting tommarow. Also Edge was bood the whole night in his own hometown as he retained the WWE IC title over Chris Jericho and Batista. Pretty good event Randy Orton will be a great Champ.

Randy Orton will be a great champ! I just hope they don't find a way to work HHH into the title picture for a while... it's getting old and boring! Anyone have any thoughts on who Orton's first PPV title defense should be against?

Yawn......

Tell me something I didn't know. Orton is suppose to win the belt and set up the storyline where he will face HHH at Wrestlemania 21. Depending on the reception Orton gets from the fans will determine if he is a babyface or a badguy.

RAW tomorrow will focus a little more on the eventual breakdown of the 4 horsemen (oops I mean Evolution) where HHH and Orton will have a confrontation and.....well you know......

Tell that to Dr D David Shultz, a reporter asked him that in the late 80's and got slapped in the side of his head causing a loss of hearing and jail time for Dr D.

Of course we know its scripted and champions are somewhat manufactured but to become a longtime champ you need a certain amount of skill (ring talent), personality (mike skills) and a lot of determination/dedication to your trade.

You can't tell me that its fake as all the wrestlers take their bumps, get injured and show dedication to their sport just like any other athlete in their sport (NHL, NFL,CFL, MLB, NBA, NASCAR, etc...)

I'm going to WWE Unforgiven @ the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon on Sunday September 12th only a 5 hour drive from here so what the heck. I think Randy Orton will defend the World Title against either Chris Benoit or Chris Jericho. Probably Benoit in a rematch where Edge would cost Benoit the match that would set up a fued between the two. Randy Orton will face Triple H for the title @ WWE WrestleMania 21 in Los Angeles where Helmsley will regain the title. I also think John Cena will win the WWE Heavyweight title @ WWE WrestleMania 21 aswell as Cena and Orton are the futures of the company.

Do you mean John Stossel of 20/20?

I’m surprised they let Benoit, Guerrero, and JBL carry the titles.
Did they ever let Cowboy Bob senior and junior carry the titles? Would this make Randy, not only 3rd generation, but 3rd generation champ?

“as well as Cena and Orton are the futures of the company.”

Cena’s promos are “ready”. He's ready. Even though I don't like finishing moves where you got to lift someone over your shoulders, unless you're over 290 like Goldberg and nextbigthing.

Orton’s promos are less frenzied than Cena’s.

If only Jericho was three inches taller, then he could carry more true heavyweight “weight”. SKINNY, TRASH SMELLING, BOTTOM FEEDING, CRACK HO!

I liked Scott Hall a lot, but he kept getting drunk. HEY YO!

RVD had a lot of charisma but he was too mellow for promos.

I thought Angle was future material, and he was, but he kept getting injured. ITS TRUE! ITS TRUE!

Shawn Michaels will be crippled in a few years, I guess it was irresistable to come back.

With so much TV pressure these days, cutting promos is quite crucial. FINALLY THE ROCK HAS COME BACK TO VANCOUVER!!!! Was he here back in year 2000?

blah, the storylines are crap right now.

they need new writers.

Get rid of all the old geezers and talentless fillers like Bob Holly, A-Train, and JBL and start pushing the younger guys.

They've also crapped on the entire cruiserweight division.

That's why wcw was so successful, the cruiserweight division was just as important as the heavyweight division.

If ol' vinny mac can't get over his little hard-on for big musclemen with no talent, the wwe will slowly dissipate out of business.

John "Bradshaw" Layfield is the WORST WWWF/WWF/WWE Heavyweight Champion in the history of the company, he has no charisma and can't wrestle shit except for that clothesline from hell move he has, Ric Flair said " When Bret Hart won the WWF Title the WWF went to hell" Well I wonder what Ric Flair thinks about JBL being champion? Bob Holly sucks he got a World Title shot this year @ the WWE Royal Rumble that should tell you that the Smackdown brand sucks with the exception of John Cena, Eddie Gurrerro and Kurt Angle, Undertaker needs to hang it up. On the Raw side Ric Flair is becoming really embarrasing he needs to just stick to managing and give up wrestling he is 55 or 56 years old, he's had a good run for over 30 years but enough is enough he should of retired from in ring competition 10 years ago. Randy Orton is magnificent on the mic so is John Cena these two young guys are the future of the WWE as they are great wrestlers and have great mic skills, and get good crowd reations too.

Ruffian.... I couldn't agree more. The writing is the worst it has ever been right now! How many times can they re-hash the same tired old "corrupt" GM script. McMahon comes in and fires the corrupt GM and hires a new one... that's also corrupt! It's stale and boring... how many have we gone through now? Flair, McMahon himself, Angle, Heyman, Bischoff, Shane McMahon, Stephanie McMahon.... I'm sure I'm forgetting some.

WWE Raw

Very good WWE Raw from London, Ontario. The return match between Randy Orton and Chris Benoit was great, but what was greater is Triple H, Dave Batista and Ric Flair kicking the shit out of Randy Orton after he retained his title and beating him into a bloody pulp. I thought Evolution would do this before WWE WrestleMania 21 next year, but I guess they wanted Randy to turn face early. Chris Benoit jobs 3 times in the last month to Randy Orton??? That makes NO sense as they had him loose clean to Randy no screw job finishes.

You must give props to Chris for jobbing to Randy. That is a sign of true loyalty to the company. As Bret said before, I will job as long as the favor is returned.

Randy Orton as face is a great way to start right now cause evolution was just getting old. Look for Edge to be Randy's replacement.

Kane and Lita story is just STUPID!!!!!!

I think Chris Benoit should have won last night by DQ at the least, having him job to Randy again is bullshit since he is in his own country aswell. The Divas contest is fucking stupid too, if I want to see hot looking women I go to a club or switch the channel to the Much Music, The diva dodgeball match was retarded, they have that match BUT put RVD on Heat???

The WWE has gotten way too comfortable since there is no competition left. I'm really surprise that both Raw and Smackdown can still pull mid to high 3s when WCW was around Raw was at least double what Nitro had.
The storylines suck, JBL blows as champion (I emailed WWE this), every is repeating itself from the 80s and 90s.
McMahon will never see his company fail until he looks back in his retirement home providing senility hasn't set in by then.
They will keep Orton as a face at least until Wrestlemania so he can face Triple H for the title.

I now think Randy Orton will face Triple H sooner than WWE WrestleMania 21, probably @ the WWE Survivor Series this November. I hope Ted Turner starts up another wrestling organization as it would push the WWE, also there has been talk of Mark Cuban starting up a wrestling organization aswell.

Survivor Series should be dropped seen as how the ppv no longer live up to it's name. I still think Halloween Havoc is much better than Taboo Tuesday in October. At least I'm busy sundays and no longer have to waste my money seeing these ppv's with very weak matches.

the only ppvs that were ever worth seeing IMO, are Royal Rumble, Summerslam, and Wrestlemania.

that is...until now. This past summerslam had complete shit for a ppv card, so i didn't bother shelling out money for it.

Whoever said that vince was too damn comfy is 100% right. He won't get off his ass until he has legit competition...and the only thing even close to that now is NWA-TNA which isn't much of a threat.

Right now the wwe has the deepest roster it's ever had in its existence, and it's being severely misused by shitbag writers who can't think of any other interesting storylines than "eugene" or "katie vick".

I seriously think the storylines being thought up of right now are created by drug-induced writers.

I could think of a shitload of things to do that would be entertaining, it's really not that hard with as many options that they have.

WWE Survivor Series is a good event, even though they don't have the old elmination tag matches anymore, Vince McMahon has got to get rid of the Backlash's, Judgement Day's, Unforgiven PPV's because there are too many, they should keep the big four only and maybe add 1 more PPV, like have 5 PPV's a year.

i agree, 5 sounds alright to me.

with the brand extension, there's way too many and it brings down the quality/time for build-up of the matches.

Not only is Vince comfortable with no competition, he's only interesting seeing Raw succeed and let Smackdown fend for itself. You will also see Triple H go after the title only to see his son-in-law happy.

TNA needs a big network to help launch it into Prime Time.

There are too many stars in the WWE that are under used or doesn't has what it takes to be on the mic or what it takes to put on a 30 or 60 min match. That's providing McMahon allows it.

Look at how many have left: Goldberg, Brian Kendrick, Ultimo Dragon...just to name a few.
