Having worked a great deal with police over the years - there is no way the story would have unfolded as it did, if the victim "had a history" with the guys that was in any way contributing to the incident in question. Given the comments by police that I've seen in various newspaper/TV stories, this does not look like some running feud, or race battle.

Bottom line - this stuff happens. I've seen it happen. It doesn't happen as often as the media would sometimes (like now) like you to believe, but it does happen. This looks like one of those times.

here is the thing though, racism is absolutely alive and thriving in canada, anyone who could not see this is dumb as shit!!

except one thing, i hear probably five jokes a day about asians driving or just in general being asian..i know girls who absolutely refuse to see east indian or black clients..i know blacks who will only pimp or fuck a white girl, i know white girls who will only free fuck black guys..i have clients who only like spanish girls..i know east indians who will never ever openly date a white girl..

we're completely segregated ie. richmond predominantly asian, surrey predominantly east indian, maple ridge predominantly whites... so what if we all manage to co-habitat our city - u know for a fact there is probably some asian girl making fun of heffer white girls, a white girl mimicking miss swan from mad t.v. after ordering chinese take out, a black guy laughing at whitey who cant jump, a native getting beat up, a white guy who is mimicking an east indian accent right this second and in that exact order!


i mean... if you still arent convinced, natives are STILL living on reservations, asains get eye surgery to be like whites, blacks get stared at in vancouver and i cant even tell you how many times i have heard the N word by whites, and the funniest thing is white kids i see walking around with thier pants to thier ass throwing up gang signs...lmao kid, your from burnaby - give your head a shake - burnaby is deffinetly NOT the equivelant to compton! lol

Racism is terrible, stupid and tribal mentality that ought to be stamped out.

But....

As I watched this video, I was wondering why this guy, who is the victim of this attack, didn't run away? Why did he goad these three white trash boys on? He was the one that yelled, 'Come on!' Why did he stand and fight? What started this fight? What was happening 5 minutes prior? He was called 'nigger' by his assailents, but the victim also yelled a threat that these guys are dead.

Might be more to this story than immediately meets the eye. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not siding with the 4 assholes who attacked this dude and pretty much had their asses handed back to them. It's just that there must be more to this than the video suggests.....I just get that feeling. Who knows? Could be as simple as getting his as kicked because of his colour, or it could be more than that? Let not slip into this lynch-mob mentality until we know the whole story, which ought to come out in the wash....

i believe that you are way off as well. you can't really see whats behind the guy. perhaps he was blocked into a parking lot or something. those guys also had a truck and he was on foot. where ever he went i think those idiots were sure to follow.

he's one on three, and i'm pretty sure as good as he might be the odds are against him. sometimes the run option is not there and you have to stand and fight. i'm sure 8 times out of 10 if its 3 on me, i'm running if i can. if that option isn't there or unrealistic cause they have a vehicle and i don't then i'm gonna stand my ground. stick and move like this guy did, don't get caught in a wrestling match.

as for there being more to this story like it could have been his fault or he brought it on himself, i really doubt that. most sane people don't call on 4 people for a fight when its just them alone.

I totaly agree there. A simular situation happened to me last year. Except it wasnt a racial thing, it was just a bunch of teenage punks. Normally i'm the type to turn and walk or run from this.

But in a situation like this, you get worked up in such a frenzy and aren't thinking straightly. In the back of you're mind you know the odds are not good, and could get badly hurt, but you're so mad and worked up you just want to beat the snot out of these punks.

But lucky in my situation, it didn't turn out to be anything more than a yelling match
