Question, what’s up with area codes

I have noticed lately area codes all around the USA. Florida Texas Utah plus lots more. Vancouver can’t be that exciting Cheers

Like this is the first time you’ve noticed area codes? Yeah they’ve been around for awhile.

What do you actually mean and what’s your question?

Also as I’m sure you’re aware any free text app or the like lets you choose your area code.

I always google Numbers when "researching" a potential tryst
i.e.
676-xxx-1234
676xxx1234
676 xxx 1234
Google area code 676 = Its either Tonga or a scam, so you decide if you want to see that advertsiser or not... (Not me)

There have been a myriad of visiting ladies here but also a tremendous amount of fake or misleading ads, especially on LL

do your research first and of course use PERB it is invaluable...

Area codes are increasingly meaningless in the era of nationwide calling plans. There are lots of people in Toronto with 604 codes they brought with them when they moved and vice versa. Text apps will issue whatever code you ask for, or assign one at random. You can't use the area code to make a definitive decision about a scam, however some scam artists are creatures of habit and so certain area codes are worse than others based on that knowledge. The more obscure the code, the higher your caution should be.
